My apologies, the original text was confusing, I see that when I go back and re-read it.

What I meant to say in it (and I'll go back and edit it), is that we are working on the stage 2 kits. Stage 2 kits will be Stage 1 kit, plus the AVO crossover pipe and catted front pipe. Stage 2 (at this time) will still be on stock fueling.

So basically, once you lift the restriction in the exhaust (the standard piping/cat), this is where we are getting with the power on stock fueling.

Oh, so my next question is for those with header back exhausts already (I have an SRT headerback), can they get the 6-6.5 psi wastegate "stage 2" spring'ed kit and tune for the stage 1 price (since the exhaust components wouldn't be necessary)?

:-D

Well I know there are plenty of people looking at this kit who will go "Oh, I have a full exhaust already... So if that's the only difference between the kits, why can't I just buy the stage 1 kit with the stage 2 spring/tune?"

I agree though, if it makes 240ft lbs from 3k to redline and quiets down the obnoxious cold start, I will probably grab this kit a couple weeks before I pull the car out from winter storage.

I have your same questions and would be willing to pay more just for the Stage 2 tune/wastegate setting, since I already have exhaust too.

LMAO! I pay for good service. The Stg 2 tune will require Dyno time, so I am willing to pay for it :happy0180: We are already at 4K+ including ECUTek license... what is 200-300 more??

I recall 5psi was the limit of stock MAP sensor, is it in place yet?

If you use a boost controller, you can go up to double the wastegate spring pressure, without changing the actual wastegate spring.

IMO this is the better way to do it because you than have the option to run say 5psi low boost setting, than raise it either manually or electronically to "stage 2" type levels when you want the extra power.

That is what we are going to do.

Can you setup the car to run say a dd 5 psi tune, then have the ability to swap to a lets say 15psi race tune on the fly and make more power when you want?

Probably not, usually double the spring pressure is the limit. Could do a 5psi, than 10psi for sure at the push of a button or the adjustment of a knob. If the car is tuned for 10psi, running less PSI is never an issue. So you just leave the 10psi ECU flash in there, than set the controller for 5psi low setting, 10psi high setting.

If the tune is calibrated correctly, it should run 5 and 6.5psi with little trouble....not needing to flash a different tune.

I've run full standalones on turboed cars and never had to retune when turning the boost up or down. It's usually compensation, not a map. You have a base fuel trim map, and then adjust compensation for positive pressure.

Will the stage 2 kit suit any garden variety cat back type aftermarket exhaust or would it benefit more from a specific type of exhaust system of a specific diameter (2.75 inches or 3 inches)?
