Plasti-dipped some center caps in preparation for changing out my wheels...

First time I have worked with plasti-dip and it seems very forgiving. Not sure I want to commit to the color, so I thought this would be a good way to test it out prior to powder coating...

I haven't had any anomalies with the car before it started doing that, no missed shifts, no grinding, no stalling, it just started doing this all of a sudden, any help would be appreciated and my warranty is not valid if it helps
Make a thread in tech section. Check clutch fluid. Could try replacing transmission fluid

next is headers and tune, maybe beef up brakes.
who knows after that. maybe there will be an ITB kit out by then??? ITB and cams is my ultimate goal.

YES! you need a build thread!
Fyi cams don't do squat on the 86 because there is so little room for the valves to open farther unless you replace your pistons too. Flex fuel is your best bet if it's available in your area

hmmmm.........sounds to me like the clutch disk is not being released.

The first thing that I would recommend is that you check the fluid level in the clutch fluid reservoir, if it's low, fill it up (then find out where the fluid went).

If it's full, I'd suggest you bleed the hydrolytic clutch system to purge the system of any air.

If all that doesn't help, I'd adjust the clutch ..... (have you been messen with the adjustment .. ??)

Come back.

15 seconds .... huh?

Did you oil it ..?

Too much oil will gum up the MAF ..

Are you sure you got it in with the correct end up and situated so as the direction of air flow is proper .. ??

Are you sure you got the bottom of the case positioned correctly before snapping the top closed .. ??

Are you sure it's all the way closed .. ??

Did you put the sticker on .. ??

15 seconds, huh ........

Are you going out to check it ......

(jest ah messen wich ya)

Deleted or relocated? They are legally required but location can change so long as it's above your other brake lights

While waiting on the bumper cover and front lip to be painted from the racoon damage, had some time this weekend to install the some parts!!

Mishmoto Oil Cooler
Greddy Air Intake Snorkel

Replaced the damaged Hella Horns
Replaced Condenser bug screen

Mishmoto Oil Cooler

The oil cooler was pretty easy install, fun part was getting the lines in a position they were happy about. Not easy bending braided lines, a lil heat from a heat gun helps.

Chose the thermostat sandwich plate at 185/F

Greddy Air Intake Snorkel

I
cut about an inch off the snorkel so it doesn't hang down so low, to block the oil cooler. left it just low enough to be in position to catch the air flow.

Took some 3/4 in velcro strip and used it as a gasket. The stuff the came with the snorkel was a joke
Fits nice and tight for no leaks. Also channeled out the styrofoam bumper cover support for the snorkel

New Condenser screen

Wating for its clothes

damn racoons

Nice stuff.......

I suggest the next time you go raccoon hunting, use a good coon dog and a shotgun ....don't use your car to run over them ......

You may find the felt fades with time. Spray with SATIN black paint (which looks blacker than matte) to reduce reflection in the glass above.

I got the lights module out of the "spaceship", covered it in felt and just pushed it into the crack at the base of the glass. Very stealth. Next time I would try
one of those flexible tape-strips of LEDs backed with a black strip of black felt for even more "stealthlinessity".

Just so you feel kind of bad- it's 80 here right now. my biggest weather related problem of the past month has been avoiding a sunburn

Shit that didn't work at all, I really wish I was tearing up Pinkham Notch or driving along Shore Rd between York, ME and Ogunquit.
