So it looks like some people are rubbing the inside of the front wheel on something? What exactly is it rubbing?

Also, thinking of running a 255/40-17 Rival on this wheel. Anyone see any issues with inside front clearance (coilovers obviously)? By my thread engagement math for the RPF1 I can run up to a 3mm spacer without extended studs if needed (the RPF1 have a lot more thread engagement to start with than the OEM wheel).

Thanks. 2-3mm spacer should take care of that.

no it's a combination of height and wheel alignment, or even something like camber adjusted at the wheel hub vs camber adjusted a the strut top makes a difference.

So with coilovers I still will not be able to have negative camber?

I did. They rubbed when I initially installed coilovers as with a lowered ride height your wheels toe out because of steering arm angle. Alignment cured this but as stated, it is very close.

I'm looking at getting some Enkei RPF1's in 17X9 +45 but not sure about the tire size yet. What's the widest tire I could use that wouldn't rub on the stock springs? I'd like to go with at least 245's if possible. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I can see how running coilovers with a slotted upper hole and/or the OEM crash bolt may help alleviate the rubbing issue. Not sure if camber at the topmount would affect it one way or the other.

I read and read and read the forum between +35 or +45 and i came to the conclusion +35 is the way to go especially running stock struts.

I highly recommend going with 17x9 +35.
I fit 245/40/17 Hankook Ventus s2 noble 1 tires no problem and lowered on RS*R SUPER DOWN Springs (lowered 1.2-1.4 inches). Whiteline 16mm Camber bolt up front for about -1.6 camber. Camber Bolts are $35

either +45 or +35 offset will have the wheel/tires poke in front.. however the +35 gives you more room for camber adjustment while using stock struts with lowering springs

my car is a daily driver and does not rub one bit. I hate hellaflush/poke etc and I think the set up is perfect for daily driving and no headache from rubbing.
