Holy crap! Your truck is identical to my friend's '09. He has the same wheels. What size you got? He has those in 20"s. They always look smaller in pics than in person.

Yeah it's a '07 Ducati 1098. This was the year they went back and redesigned to follow the 916/996/998 body type with the dual headlights, single sided swingarm and dual undertail exhaust.

The RSV4 is a sick bike too and Aprilias are nice! The new BMW 1000RR is one sick machine too! Once you ride and own a sportbike, it becomes a part of you. Honestly there is nothing that can compare to that feeling of riding a motorcycle.

Here is what the 998 looked like

Massimo Tamburini designed the 916/996/998 and also designed some bikes for MV Agusta and Cagiva. In 2003 Pierre Terblanche designed the 999/749 which looked like sh*t b/c it looked nothing like the 998. Thanks to Giandra Fabbro, his team decided to scrap the 999 design and design a completely new bike that started where the 998 left off with only the Trellis frame.

Here is a 999

The Desmoquattro in the 996 had its fair share of problems but once they moved to the Testastretta (narrower heads) it was more reliable. The 1098 engine is basically a bored out 998 Desmodromic motor. Their aim with the 1098 was have longer valve check intervals and lower maintenance costs. However, the voltage regulator stills seems to be an on going problem since the 916. I usually have mine hooked up to a battery tender when it's not ridden.

Small stuff here and there but quick frankly it's the best motorcycle I have ever ridden. Because it has a tubular frame compared to the bigger aluminum frames on most motorcycles, it's so easy to throw around.

I would look for an 07 on up. All the small issues from the 03-06, Dual Stage F.I, Uni-link swing arm, front suspension, bigger brakes have all been resolved in the 07 +.

IMHO, the pearl white 07 is probably the best looking and best performing RR ever released!

Wow, you have so much knowledge on bikes. Yeah... some of stuff you said was way out of my head. lol I never got into motorbike, so I have no clue on lots of stuff you said. I just remember my friend was looking for bike and he wanted Ducatti or Aprilia, so we were looking different types of Ducatti and Aprilia bikes... and in the end I think, he went with Yamaha (can't remember which Yamaha). lol
