Hey guys, im new heare ill be picking up an frs tomorrow (saturday sept 26th) im very excited. gonna see if i can twist the dealers arm into giving me trd front and rear sways. gonna just install em myself

thanks. cant wait to get the car tomorrow. does anyone know if any fancy computer adapters are needed to put my double din in the frs? ive searched the forums but not found anything. id prolly need a module to adapt the steering wheel controls not sure about the rest though.

I installed a headunit a few weeks ago. It was mostly plug and play depending on the unit. Worst case you just have to repin everything

if it's aftermarket you need a wiring harness, otherwise you will be splicing wires.

don't worry about steering wheel controls, the FRS doesn't have any lol

I had to cut the SWC wire that was part of the harness that came with my headunit cuz it was wired into a dimmer light pin or somthing and was just a big headache lol!

If you need any help let me know I might beable to help you tommorow

i gotta get a dash adapter first. and the wireing harness cause ive done splicing before i hate it. working with wireing adapters is much more plesant. get to sit at a bench and solder instead of work in the dash.

its a JVC KW-V50BT. it actually in my cobalt right now but im gonna stick my better sounding single din kenwood excelon kdc-x996 back in the cobalt and put the double din jvc in the frs
