The Cusco and Apexi, as well as Pivot's Electronic Throttle controllers only change the timing of how much throttle opens in response to the throttle pedal. Its mostly the preference of the driver, and it does not physically make the car any faster. While some drivers do improve time due to it allowing more personal tastes to be reflected in the throttle character, others find it not really helpful.
I feel that the FRS throttle is very well tuned from the factory and I have no issues with it on the raceway, being very linear and predictable. I found it more helpful in tuning the bad throttle timing of the Sienna minivan and Tundra trucks, actually...LOL
