I took my old car out for a spin, just to remind myself of how much of an upgrade the FRS is.

Tried to corner at the usual spots and nope, never doing that again. Almost ran into a ditch. Handling is horrid, brakes are nearly gone, my back started hurting after sitting for 20 minutes. I asked myself after getting out: "How the hell did I manage driving this without crashing???"

Yeah I think back to my old cars sometimes and wonder just how significant the difference would be. Out of 20+ vehicles I think only one or two would have stood a chance but one of those wound out at ~85mph.

I have to be very careful when I transition from the FR-S to my weekend errand car (Suburban Z71). More than once I've "forgotten" that they do not exactly corner the same. If my son is with me he always starts the drive "Now Dad, no drifting the Suburban today"

Have now had 4 people at the park say something along the line of "oh I see you have a new car. We didn't think you would keep the other one long". Been some very embarrassed stuttering when I tell them it is just until my real car is fixed.

Well still in the land yacht. Every time the phone rings I cross my fingers but it looks like a weekend spent playing LEO is in my future.
