For those that have actually done it, how hard/tricky is removing the front bumper? Is it pretty straight forward or is there a f'ed up part to taking it off and puting it back on? Plz only reply if u have actually done it.

Not too difficult after the first time. I've taken it on and off 3 times. Make sure you remove all the clips before pulling anything so you don't rip any of the mounting points. It would help with another person to line everything up and connect the lights when installing it back on. Just take your time with it and all will be good.

Anythings possible.

Except this.

Well unless you take the radiator and air con heat exchanger out through the engine bay, and then have go-go-gadget arms to get the duct where it needs to go, and some how fix it in place.

Just take the bumper off.

Dude the bumper takes like 5 minutes to take off. Just do it. I've taken mine off more times than I can remember. Too easy.

The alternatives are much more difficult anyway. Just buy a pair a pushpin pliers and it's no trouble.

does anyone have pictures of a modified stock one? since i would literally never see it under the bumper, i would have no problem wasting a few minutes dremeling the stock one. even if it truly adds no power... like other said. It cant hurt.

Update - Front Bumper Mod

Originally I was going to cut out the Toyota/Scion badge, but upon further inspection/measurement.. it is better to cut away at the flat vertical part of the bumper like so:

The height of the holes is perfect for getting cooler air into the HKS Cold Air Intake, plus the HKS is situated about 1-1.5inches higher than the holes so there is a very very low chance for water coming into the air box.

I also changed back to my STOCK AIR BOX, however I'm using an AVO Filter(non oiled) and the PERRIN Silicone Intake Tube. Both wrapped up with Reflect-A-Gold Heat Wrap.

I presume you mean very little chance of water getting into the air box, and not air as stated above?

Did you notice much difference between the stock and TRD airbox with the HKS duct?
