Nah, they're doing a LeMans hybrid. I was expecting it, too.

But I think they should ditch calling the Lexus 'hybrids', though and go to something like F1's 'KERS'. Hybrid is just too Prius.

I meant the part about it getting a v8.

The problem with that is that 'Muricans don't watch F1, and that "Plug-In KERS" doesn't really make any sense.

If it doesn't cost, as rumor suggested, 100K.

Nah, in places like the Bay Area where people are swimming in cash, having that "Hybrid" badge on your car is all the craze. It's good marketing in this time.

It's a good thing if all cars go integrated starter/generators with higher power density batteries sooner rather than later, but to appease the anti-eco-friendly people, they should try to emphasize that the weight penalty is mild, and that it has better power to weight ratio.

As long as they don't water down the design too much, I don't see they have a problem selling 500hp beast for more than 100k. However, knowing Lexus, they will make it bland. Unless they have balls to make a 100K+ car for 35-55 instead of 65 years old people.

Well being a Lexus it will probably come with a significant level of comfort built in, so maybe they can have like an active suspension or something that is both easy on the butt and good on the track.

Although at that point, it would be hard to differentiate it from any of the other 100k sports cars.

Ah, V8 is a bit of a surprise.

I didn't mean KERS in particular, just something other than 'hybrid'. GreenBoost, ElectroSpeed, whatever.

To me 'Hybrid'=people smelling their own farts...

The main problem I have is that the car doesn't actually look real to me. Sounds weird I know but it just looks like a cartoon.
