Maybe, that might be the case. Perhaps spring-loaded to give enough space to clear the taillights. I guess I'm just being naive since I really hope it's a hatch.

Also, does anybody know what kind of wheels are those? They look very much like the 10 spoke Marcheshin design.

on the production model it's relegated to a line. it makes the front look way better imo.

So there IS going to be a hood vent on the production version? I haven't really notices any signs of it on the mules.

there isn't really any other reason to have a 5 inch thick slab of tape around that part of the Gazoo car

I don't think the trunk would have problems opening if the lights cut into it like that, but from a practicality standpoint...it's a bit awkward to have tailights sticking into your trunk like that. Say you move some largeish box into the trunk, there's a high chance of hitting those lights and possibly causing some damage since it's a rather small protrustion. If you stick something deeper into the trunk it would also be rather inconvenient if the thing is in your arms' way. I definitely hope they don't have a trunk that is this way for production.

That's what I was thinking, but if it is a functional vent wouldn't they want to test it? Also, I would think the curvature of the hood would be a little more dramatic like on the FRS concept the hood dropped significantly over the entire length of the hood before bottoming out at that vent. Doesn't seem to be the case with this mule.

Maybe they'll end up with a 2 piece tail light but yeah, bad design to have it protrude out like that for the production units.

When you get the car, you can go to Subaru dealer to get WRX/STI hood vent, and do some retrofit by yourself.

1. different tyres thread, no longer the RE11s
2. different rim design
3. all the decals revealed on the side, top rear window, top of side door windows

i really do home it will turn out to be exactly like the fr-s. dont really like the tailights much and the headlights also-_-
