It will if you make a custom box, for shit and gigs i had a 15" sub lying around, i built a custom sealed box and it fit in the trunk. Mind you after that i didn't have a trunk at all so i took it out! haha. But the sub sits facing up to the trunk lid.

Thats nicer than the RF's, I do find the JL's a little 'flappy' sounding.. almost like the sub is in a too small box. hear cars with that sound all the time, even as they are driving down the street..
its terrible haha.

I'm gonna take a look at the Focal IBUS 20. Seems to be well liked.

Hey, how about this? Would this be pretty comparable to the JL one?

http://www.focal.com/en/car-audio-so...ox/sb-p-25.php

I had a listen... not too bad.

Thats better!

Focal make some nice stuff, i reckon you would be more happy with that than the RF one.

Cheers man. Does it matter that this entry model isn't made in France like most the rest? Lol.

Hey Guys,

so i dont know heaps about car audio so thought i might request your opinions in here.
AIM- Upgrade the head unit and I wanna add thump in the trunk haha. Nothing earth shattering or SPL winning but just some nicer low end so i can cut the bass out from the door speakers and let them worry about the mid-high.
whilst sticking to a pretty firm budget (aiming for $1000 and DIY install with friends).
Space conscious, i still want to have usable boot space without having to remove the sub.

Gear -
Headunit:
PIONEER AVH-2450BT - Have seen these in store, does just what i want it to do.. good brand, good interface. Have read that a headunit update improves the stock speaker performance a reasonable amount. (not interested in integrated GPS as i have a good standalone unit.)
http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/product...0BT/index.html

Amp: MB QUART ONX1-1000D CLASS-D MONOBLOCK - i want to go with monoblock and Class D seems to be the latest and greatest and keeps the size down for hopefully getting it in under a seat. Gets good reviews.
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...NX1.1000D.html

Sub: KICKER 10TCVT124 - Very slim, seemingly has one of the best reps for a slim sub out there... listened to one in store being driven by an amp that probably wasn't quite powerful enough and i was still happy with the sound for the money

Thoughts?? Feedback
