Well if I were to yank this motor in favor of another one, it definitely won't be a 4 banger.

A 2grfe seems fitting. 3.5L V6 then throw a pair of turbos on there.

In stock form it isn't of course but it can be built to be VERY strong.

Well, that would solve all the torque dip complaints. The 2grfe is becoming the new swap of choice for the Mr2 Spyder chassis. I rode in one recently 268 stock HP in a 2200Lb chassis is impressive to say the least. And it has the reliability of a stock Camry.

Sorry if this is a necro, but wondering how crazy of an idea people think swapping a Ferrari V8 into the the car is. And how difficult.

And specifically, maybe one from a 360/CS or 430.

For the amount of money to run an itialian v8, you can do a propper ls1 with force induction included.
So its crazy just for the price, not mention the pita for get ferrari parts.

Interesting

I don't know if anyone has commented on this yet, but what about the new 2.3 ecoboost out of the 2015 mustang.
Or even the v6 ecoboost.

The problem is that they haven't released the control pack for them yet. Once they do I think that will be the best bang for your buck swap available.

365hp 420tq bone stock and practically bullet proof based on the torture tests they put them through and available in tons of f150s...

Jaden

That would be a popular swap in a few years I guess. + the engine is rumor to be similar to the one they had in Mazda speed6. Parts will be cheap too with bunch options, it will be hard to beat. =)
