Don't worry California guys about adding a turbo. If you notice the CHP are cracking down on after market parts, but take a look at the cars they are busting. These cars are not clean nice looking professional stealth cars. These cars are saying "hey look at me" and guess what, the CHP are looking. So if your setup is clean and professional a CHP will appreciate it and send you home. If your a jerk he'll write you up. My 2 cents.

I think there's a certain assumption that because we are not going to charge 6-8k, it's going to be some cheapo kit. That's certainly not the case - it's just that there's several factors here, such as economy of scale. We are not planning on selling 5-10 kits a year, we are instead planning to make most of the parts on our factory lines in larger amounts. This brings costs down quite a bit. We are not picking wire-reinforced silicone for the piping because it's cheap - it's not, when you are getting it moulded to specific shapes - we are doing it because it works best for this application. Wire reinforced silicone is *tough*, you could stand on it.

We won't be going for ultimate horsepower, either. While we could, it's not in our planning for this kit. What we want to see, and what we aim for with the main kit, is similar to our other kits - boost from 1500rpm with a very strong mid-range. With reliability.

I also don't have any desire to get into any arguments over who's got a better kit. It's like saying what's better, italian or mexican food. At the end of the day, people are simply gonna have their own preference regardless of what is claimed about either.

I for one would take the silicone over metal piping anyday of the week its so much easier to deal with, also it held the boost when i was running 18psi no prob so for this car Im def not worried.

I think at the end of the day the hardest part of any of these kits is going to be dealing with tuning the 2 styles of fueling, not compression or anything else. Ill also bet my money in advance that by this time next year we will be seeing a reliable 300hp FI setup. I believe its all locked away in tuning, as there are prolly some kind of crazy staged injection that will be avail for use in the future.

Only time will tell but I put my money on the pistons and rods as being the weak link.

It's already simple to tune the Dual injection setup.

I want this unicorn fart powered street beast you speak of.

.....and you all thought 93 octane was expensive. Imagine what running your vehicle on extinct/nonexistent animal byproduct would cost!

......wait.

Update: sneak peek of the the engine bay with intercooler and intake piping to the stock airbox. (This is not the production pieces, these are the prototype tooling. Blue silicone will be replaced with black silicone as well.)
