PS....I love my Scion, so kiss my ass.
I'm not a Scion fan at all, but I don't know why people get so bent out of shape over it here. Part of me hopes it's going to be a Scion, just to see the forum tears =)

why are you talking to me about nascar?

you didn't strike a nerve, i just felt like correcting you. just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's bad.

i feel sorry for people like you.

Lol..its all good. I know at the end of the day the tC serves me well on and off the track. True enthusiasts appreciate all vehicles. Sometimes when I see idiotic post I will fire off some shots, other times I just let the car do my talking for me.

I know! Right?

I was thinking I'd get, what, maybe +10 HP from the upgrade?

I recon it would also help me get laid!

Shouldn't really talk about things you know little of.

www.toysport.com

I realize their site is under construction atm, but Toysport is where you can go to basically get any TRD USA/Japan component for any Toyota car, as long as it was ever made. You can even get every piece needed to build your own Formula Atlantic 4A-GE, hell, Toysport will build it for you....aint cheap of course...very not cheap.
Got my 6.7kg FR/4.0kg RR TRD Japan race springs from Toysport.
Oh yeah....I sold those..../cry

And the funny thing is, I bet most chicks wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't a Lexus. All the better though, right? Or... could she take you to court for fraud?

"Your honor, I slept with this man because he told me he drove a Lexus. But I later found out it was a SCION!! [Female plaintiff proceeds to throw bitch fit.] I want him to pay for tricking me! He took away my dignity... and my virginity! [Silence in the courtroom.]"

I remember saying this a LONG time ago in a thread far far away (ok, maybe a few pages back).

If buying this car HINGES on what BADGE the damn car has on its exterior/steering wheel, then you might wanna rethink exactly why you're buying it.

The badge is of little importance to me. The performance / driving feel is key, KEY, to whether or not I buy this car. At the forefront it has to feel agile in steering, and the engine has to rev as freely as melted butter spreads over yummy toast.

Yummy toast.

For me it doesn't hinge on the badge. It just changes the buying and owning process of the car. The driving experience shouldn't be affected, but I've stated some possible negative technical changes that could be made to make this car more Scion-suitable. (Using the base Subaru 170 hp, 2.5L motor for more torque, and more under-steer dialed in to save RWD noobs from themselves.)

Scion is a last resort.

Indeed. That WOULD be a deal breaker for me too.

Still, cannot see that happening....no way they'd be that dense.

This company did decide to put a 4 speed automatic together with a 2ZZGE powerplant for the pre-Scion Celica.

(sure they offered a 6 speed too, but just sayin'...)
