It's the angle the picture was taken.

Since they are made from OEM cores, the brake lights sit further back towards the front of the car.

With shipping to U.S. it's $471.88 as of today. They're only $409.99 with Nigel-JDMParts. GuerillaRacing wants $500, so you're donating about $30 to them if you don't go with Japanparts. Crazy how the prices have varied and the lights haven't even been released yet, just pre-orders.
