I'm not sure what you're paying, mine was $27.9K out the door for a limited (WA has god awful sales tax, 9%), plus I got a couple dealer options financed like the 3M protector film for the front end.

I had to choose between two cars I really wanted. I chose the one with the stiffer stock springs. And as for proof, I posted proof of everything I just claimed, and you provided nothing but conjecture.

By the way, the Jalopnik article linked directly back to this forum and numerous owners complaining about the body panels. But you'd know that if you did an ounce of homework. Stop challenging every thing someone says in a BRZ thread to validate your own reasoning in buying the car you did. If you prefer the FRS suspension for drifting or whatever then fine.

Track times don't lie. I doubt you can convince anyone in here that when one car beats another consistently (regardless by how much) on the track that they're just the same, or one isn't better. Subaru has a different tune. Period. And to them, it's not a matter of preference, it's a matter of performance. And yet you're just throwing your hands up in the air and calling everyone else ignorant group thinkers without providing an ounce of proof.

Sorry about that, everything looks antagonistic when you're already arguing.

I meant the springs, was hammering out a response while getting pulled away from my desk. If I ever do replace them it'll be the last thing I do long after a turbo and all the accoutrements.
I'd love to argue with you but I already promised I would leave you Subaru people to your own thoughts.

But... Please stop quoting my posts because I then get a notification and then I feel the need to read it but can't offer a rebuttal because of my previously mentioned promise and it sucks.

If you have membership in a bank or program that offers internet pricing (I've used USAA and Costco), use it every time. No haggling over mostly below invoice prices, the only thing I haggled on was trade-in value. Don't know if they have anything like that in Canada.

If you're in Seattle, I was going between the dealers in Bremerton and Olympia. Olympia won out, which is nice since it's 12 miles from me. Although Peninsula Subaru in Bremerton has free oil changes, it would have been a pain to drive there every time for one.

Also, Elysian is awesome. Avatar is one of my favorite unconventional IPAs.

Yes, if you got a brand new Limited with dealer add-ons like 3M paint protection for $25K, it means you got the dealer to lose a pile of money on a hot car that is selling well... The cheapest price in my area was $500 below MSRP and the dealer was not budging. So I focused on my trade-in and got the dealer to come up $1K on that.

I would get a BRZ for the limited trim options (I don't care about the navi HU, i'd likely swap that out eventually) and the WRB color. The color is absolutely fantastic in person.

1. Was getting the Limited at a better price than the base FRS.
2. Compared the two in person, and the BRZ just looked better.
3. Holy freakin' push start. DDDDDDD
4. Better interaction with the Subaru sales guy compared to the Toyota sales guy.

My first choice was a hot lava FRS, and I probably would have picked it just for that color.

I don't own either one, but if I had to pick it would be the FR-S.

1. Its cheaper and I'm cheap :p
2. I like the front end better (tho the BRZ fender vents do look better).
3. Toyota pretty much did the styling or both cars. (I'm sorry but Subaru makes some pretty fugly cars).
