Just responding to thill's question. After re-reading, I was a little harsh toward Subie although without Toyota's cash infusion they faced an uncertain future.

And you're right, there's no need to justify either of the twins. One half-hour test drive did it for me and I had no thoughts of buying anything other than an oil filter that day!

Subaru is having a record sales year. Like all Asian car manufacturers they were hit hard by the tsunami, but even more so by the strong yen vs the dollar. Long-term they seem to be doing just fine and I would not hesitate to recommend the company of buy a car from them.

Yes, I would recommend them too. Now that they have a reliable partner in Toyota, their future is bright. Other former partners like Nissan, GM and Isuzu didn't help the brand overcome it's bench player image. Fortunately, that's changing in areas outside the Snowbelt. Hopefully they'll be making enough profit to return to WRC soon.

Everyone keeps saying this, but I don't get it? It's not full leather. Just the outside of it. The center grips you good

I like the seats better then the leather in my TL as far as grip...

The LED DRL look pretty slick...but the push button on the left side where it should be would be a better spot

Agreed, Toyota is their strongest partner yet. I mean look at the twins. This car would not have been possible without the joint partnership and both companies needed each other to pull it off.

I would like to see the two companies combine to make more vehicles together.

The great thing about these seats is the grip you get that you wont get with leather. These cars were designed to be drifting, and the seats just hug you. I think you will like them, and they are certainly comfortable.

That's more to do with the seat lateral supports than the material though... my bimmers seat hug me pretty well

Alcantra material provides the grip. I used to have ultra suede in my japanese lexus. They are very comfortable.

lol. I used to jones for leather since I was a kid. I find leather uncomfortable, slippery, hot and sweaty In the summer, very cold in the winter, it cracks, needs maintenance, looks horrible when ages, I don't like sitting on dead skin, and cotton or cloth simply breaths better. I don't understand the infatuation with "leather." lol Alcantara, is beautiful yes. But the car is the car, I like the car for what it is, not the leather it has nor the "tape deck" it comes with.

this is my OPINION lol

it's more enjoyable, to me at least. my supra tt had leather, my acura legends had leather, my nsx's had leather, my e39 m5's had leather....I prefer the cloth FRS seats over all the rest. If I didn't, I could have bought the BRZ, but then again, I cannot stand the BRZ front bumper moustache lol.
