does anyone know if we can mod the new ones to get heating ability?

is it possible to unglue the black plastic backing to stick on a heated circuit, then put it back on after drilling two small holes for the probes to come out?

edit- using something like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-MI...4f367a&vxp=mtr

edit- edit- I just ordered them... I guess I'll test it out!

Please Let us know how you make out! I feel more comfortable with this new style; but I love my heated mirrors in the winter.

the hardest part will be ungluing the blue mirror from the plastic backing, if I can do it without cracking the thing, I'll be good for reassembly

I thought about trying all of that when I installed mine, but it's going to be garaged all winter and even though my TSX has heated mirrors, any time I actually needed the function, I forgot about it because I used it so little. It would be more helpful on the BRZ because of the blind spots, but I didn't consider it a necessary function, so I just taped off the leads and installed the new mirrors.

Seriously guys the site http://ft86speedfactory.com/ will literally calculate shipping for you. Just in case that 5 - 9 dollars is what's really gonna break the bank in this case. Not being an ass but all these "price to" things are just awful...

-Chuck

PS I am not associated with FT86speedfactory in any way. I have the mirrors because I ordered them. Without getting anyone else to do my legwork on parts.

I'm guessing you're subbed to this thread and don't like it clogging up your CP? Unsub then! The money I just saved, although a small amount, is money you freely handed out to the rest of us who asked and payed less than you!

On topic, excited for these to show up! Thanks!

Nope. Not subscribed at all. Good try tho **** head. That's a reference to your name not a insult so please don't turn me in to the morality police. I handed no money out. I'm in the military my whole paycheck comes from tax dollars. Just saying it is for all intents and purposes not "mine" in any sense of the word; well except that it is in my account. And I highly doubt you payed less than me. But if that is what helps ya sleep well at night then by all means live in the dilusion that you are saving money by asking a what the shipped price is. Two gold stars coming your way!!
