heard a clunk going over bumps. After wiggling the driver front wheel side to side and hearing it again, I found the tie-rod locking nut was loose. The alignment guy must have not tightened it down enough and got knocked loose hitting a pothole or something. Everything is good once again.

They're Roots Spider horns. Ever so slightly different look than Hella Supertones, but specs are pretty much identical. Cheaper, too.

And the pretty pic...
![]() I like that they're partially tucked away so you can't see the whole horn. Had to drill out one of the holes in the bumper beam to fit a 10mm bolt (pass side was already big enough...go figure). Why can't cars be more symmetrical?? Nice how easy it is to take the bumper off, and how much ROOM there is to work in there once it's off.

I put in some bootleg STI seatbelt pads and wanted to take off the dealer license plate frames. While attempting the latter, I saw that a tech or the salesman decided to try and screw in the bottom of the plate on the trunk AFTER I told them NOT to try and screw in the license plate at the bottom because THERE ARE NO HOLES FOR IT while they were doing the PDI when I bought it 2.5 months ago. Not worth getting repainted, but I should at least be able to get a free touch-up pen so I can fix it myself.

Drove it real fast (fast being a relative term, I guess). Had a bunch of fun. Coming back up my street, the road was damp from heavy fog and I got to do a big, immature skid. It was the best. God bless prius tyres, lol. Driving on ~*any*~ amount of water is like driving on snow

I did 5 coats of black. I was planning on doing 4 coats of metalizer after the black but I ran out of time. I tried it on a piece of cardboard; black with tons of metalizer comes out something like a hyper black or gunmetal. However, now I'm really liking the black on the car, not sure I'll change it. PM me if you have any questions, I've had some good and bad experiences with plastidip. Now that I've figured it out it's been all good. |
