Lol us Canadians got shafted.... We pay 800 more for the series 10 and they take away the deck. Plus its standard equiptment in two months. I guess Pioneer appradio 3 will be on my join my super long not affordable shopping list. I hope it somehow still makes it to our cars though. I have a double din in my celica and I won't want to have a better deck in there compared to the FRS =S

I'd claim to the dealer that's a bait and switch. If it was advertised as having it then you should get it and not have to pay for it. Either get a free upgrade or ask for a refund on the deposit!

Sure, but the standard features for the limited have changed from the time I made my deposit. That's what gets me.

It appears as though projek & Brently are correct and that the touchscreen does not come with Canadian 10 Series. My dealer ordered the 10 Series prior to me walking into the dealership to make sure they got an allocation. They ordered it with a uprgraded 5.8" unit. I have a $500 increase on total price of vehicle above MSRP, hence why it comes up as $0 charge on vehicle options page as it was already charged on vehicle. It was ordered by dealer this way prior to me putting deposit and am stuck with it or not get a 10 Series.

Any Canadian have confirmation that MY2014 Canadian FR-S will get the new 6.1" unit?

Actually I do! This will be a 300 watt unit meaning it will be easy to upgrade to great speakers without changing out for aftermarket head unit (I hate them, they always seem out of place and the screens tend to be either horribly bright or too dull... Unless u go android). Have you heard the stock speakers? They are SHIT. Actually the first time i drove the car last year i was extremley impressed with it. I was about to pull the trigger until i turned on the radio and poped in my tecno cd. I immediatley walked away bitching about the stupid cheap ass sound system. Now im back. I WILL upgrade soundsystem first priority but i really want to keep stock HU. We will probably get FUCKED as usual here in PR and will probably get shit 2013 stock HU.

reggaeton... really... might as well wear my pants baggy showing off half my ass and using my fingers as a belt, wife beater shirt and walk like an idiot... huge 25 $ wing included.

im glad people buying this car have a certain class to them... for now anyways. Besides... tecno really drives the speakers to their limit which was what I was testing.

I know you can upgrade sound with stock HU... but i dont really like how it looks. And according to my local sound shop, If I wanted to install the Infinity kappas that i want, I would have to exchange the stock HU (I mena the one that comes stock in the standard car) for aftermarket with higher wattage output.

So...can anyone in Ontario verify the finance and lease rates for the 10 Series FRS? I get this tingly feeling like I am being lied to. I see the rates on Scion.ca have gone down in Ontario to 3.99% but I'm being told that the "10 Series" is 4.99% I can't verify this anywhere on the website.

Nope, higher lease and finance rates for the series 10 indeed. I dont mind paying to play but in total, the purchase price for a series 10 in canada is 1800 more and it doesn't even have a double din. Oh wells, I am going to suck it up though.

This has been the most stressful car buying experience I have ever had. I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS.

(I was definitely told that if financing rates went down, I would get the new rate-- there was no caveat regarding a special higher rate for the ONE 10 Series FRS the dealer was allocated) Honestly... this sh*t is bananas.

300w stereo? USA only. 6.1 touch screen? USA only. Option to upgrade to navigation? USA only. Thank goodness my front and rear emblems will glow when I open my doors though!
