What is your ticket for, in what city, who is your insurance provider, have you been with them that whole 5 years, how old are you, has anyone else on your policy had a ticket or accident?

Insurance rates are a huge calculation of things.

52 in a 35, city of alexandria, ive only had my policy for a month and a half but my family has been with state farm and this agent for my whole driving career plus longer. I didnt get a reckless luckly but ive signed up for a defensive driving class tomorrow to try and get my fine/ticket reduced.

Go get your speedo calibrated also. Go to the court date and present both your driving course and speedo calibration while doing no contest - unless you want to fight it, but then you probably want a lawyer.

State farm is one of the worst for dropping people, although they won't drop you for non reckless - they might try to f** you over during your policy renewal.

Im not going to fight it, while i dont think i was doing the 52 the cop said i was i feel the easiest option is to just admit guilt, show that ive done the course and hope for the best. I was talking to the driving instructor earlier today and he seemed to think getting my speedo recalibrated would not matter because it happened in alexandria and not fairfax
