Ok I went to a BMW dealer in grand blanc looking at a 128i used for like $14k and no one would come out and talk to me so I went in to get someone and they told me they weren't coming out because they thought I couldn't afford it... I pulled in the lot with a $60k srt followed by my friend in his m3. I was so mad I almost punched that sales guy in the mouth. So I'm going to have to wait till I get back in a month to find my daily car.

Wow, what ****s! I've never had that happen and I've coerced test drives in some very expensive cars... Funny, I bought a 528i for a daily/lot rotter

Yeah I have found that customer service is not a strong point in Michigan. Even renting a place was hard I told the people I have a hand full of money looking to rent their house for every dime they wanted... Nope I'm going to take a nap then going to dinner call back next week. I literally can't motivate people with money here it is crazy everyone complained about money but no one even made an attempt to get mine when I was trying to give it to them. I ended up applying to live at lions gate in Davison. I do plan on having a supercharger party once I get everything from innovate I'm on the list for one just waiting for the, official release.

Before I decided on an FRS I was looking into getting a 128i. I went to Erhard BMW in Farmington and it was one of the best dealership experiences I've ever had. I walked in on a whim in jeans and some nerd tshirt and they still treated me really well. It was to the point that I felt a little guilty not buying a car from them because I would have liked to give them business. If you are still looking I'd give them a shot. My sales guy was Ramzy Elkawa.

Ironically there is a Toyota dealership on Michigan ave in Canton that I have been to twice and have yet to get someone to talk to me.

Yeah I might go do that because at first I was like well I haven't driven a manual in 10 years so maybe I am just rusty. Sometimes the car shifts and performs perfectly and it is great but other times no matter how you approach it, it klunks. After test driving several other cars this weekend I can see it is something related to my tranny, because I experiencing nothing like this and I drove cars with trannies from luxury to sport.

I am leaving today to go back to Phoenix I was hoping to have one waiting for me here but I will have to wait till I get back in a few weeks. I have lined up a little bit of time in Cali to check out the innovate car sense I am getting one so I couldn't stay any longer in Michigan.

You are free to take mine for a spin sometime if it'll help.

Most clubs have a corner worker that confirms who was at fault and they have to make arrangements to fix the car they hit before being allowed back on the track.
I don't follow them that closely, but I don't think they have ever had car-on-car contact (hence no rule). If a corner worker sees you doing anything that could potentially be unsafe they will black flag you. Also passing is only by pointing someone by, so it should be extremely difficult to make contact.

That said the weekday events don't have as many corner works, so if someone is on your a$$, let them buy, or go to the pits and ask for space.

you can take my car out too. Should be similar but i have the STI short-shift kit but that has made little to no difference as far as i can tell. Im pretty sure im like 30-40 minutes away from you in rochester.

Yeah it should be a fun time out there I am wanting to get into TT eventually so I will have to move up to a club that has competition classes but 3 balls racing seems to be a good group to track with and they are always at the tracks that are closest to me.

Waterford Hills is looking at adding a time trial group to the race days, I don't think there is anything official yet.
