Hola fellow Minnesotans. I picked up a WRB BRZ Limited last week. The only twin I have seen (I live in Maple Grove and work downtown) has been a black FR-S near my house in MG. Will keep my eyes peeled for you guys, there are some sweet rides in this thread.

Planning on staying stock for awhile but will most likely do tinted windows (Minnesota tint laws suck). Also thinking about a clear bra, I had one on my 2013 Genesis Coupe which I traded in for this car (long story).

The BRZ is the most fun I have had since my 1995 RX-7 (which had lots more power, but also cost more and was a pain to maintain).

If you see me driving around, give me a honk and wave!

Welcome! Im falling in love with that color more and more. The FD is, and will always be my dream car. I don't care how unreliable or expensive to maintain they are, I will own one some day and restore it.

Do you by chance park in the Hennepin ramp?

Thanks man, it was a close call between WRB and Galaxy Blue. My wife wanted the GBS, but I was able to compare the cars side by side in the sunlight and the GBS just had a little too much purple for my liking

I love the white as well, but other other car is white and wanted something different.

I kick myself all the time for selling the RX-7. I was in the military in the late 90's and constantly deployed/working and the car was becoming a burden.. Still regret selling it (it was low mileage and in great shape) and I see the value on these (if they are well maintained) only going up.

Having owned three RX-7's though I just got tired of the maintenance and piss poor MPG that is the rotary..

The BRZ is making me forget the RX-7's. First car that has. And I have owned lots of cars since then (BMW, Audi, VW, Gencoupe, etc).

Hope to see some of you around.

I know what you mean. There is something about these cars. My wife is still confused why I traded my S2000 in for the FRS. I told her, I can't explain it...

And whoever it was earlier in the thread that recommended Bravo in Minnetonka for tint and clearbra, thank you! Great pricing and really liked Charlie. Will be taking my car in soon. Going with 50% on the side windows and 35% for the rear (I actually got pulled over as soon as I moved to Minnesota on my Mazda 3 that had 35% on the sides but they let me go since I had Utah plates).

Still debating on the clearbra. I am just worried the WRB will show rock chips and there is so much new construction going on here in Maple Grove..

S2000 ranks up there with the RX-7 as being a special car to me as well. One of my best friends has one (bought it new in 2003) still has his. I have always considered one but needed four seats for the occasional trip with a kid or two in the car.

Welcome @Thrill

Anyone interested in doing brunch again sometime soon? Anyone know of any interesting places for brunch? Icehouse was great, and I'm up for trying other new places as well

Welcome to the family! You probably saw my FR-S, I live in Brooklyn Park and occasionally shop and catch movies in Maple Grove. If you aren't doing anything on Mondays, come to the Rice Killer meets located off of 81 across from Wagners. A few of us are usually there.

Thank you! I am almost positive I saw your car. It was the first twin I have seen in person outside of the dealer cars, thanks for the invite to Rice Killer, what time do you guys meet?

Cheers.
