I needed something to help push my tall ass out of the cockpit, and its nice for my puppy to stand on while driving...... the hole in the center console was not cutting it.

Also love this car!
I spent the last 3 weeks driving other cars (old Lexus ES300, old Civic LX, Mazda 3 rental, Jeep Wrangler Unlimited rental, and my mk6 GTI), and it felt awesome to get back behind the wheel of my FR-S. Forgot how good this car is to drive!

I agree with you on the armrest. I really jumped on the surveys I was asked to participate in telling them the money they wasted on that damn growl tube coming back into the cabin could have easily paid for a decent console cover/arm rest. Do some searching on our forum here and you will find several different styles of arm rests that are available that don't need any drilling or installation. I bought a full size one and it finishes off the cabin nicely.

I had a Mazda 2 with no armrest and your arm would just hang out in space. I read all the complaints on here and figured this car would be the same, but I don't really see it at all. My arm just rests next to the cup holder and I lay my hand on the handbrake. Then I push off the edge of the cup holder to get out. I do have my seat slammed to the floor though and am about average Japanese guy size, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Well Genesis has more Torque and more power, with bigger displacement and cheaper after market stuff.
FT86 is like u said, low torque, and power dip. It is just a Driver car Driver car means: You feel everything...Bumb....Noise....heavy steering wheel...whatever you name it. It is very Well Balanced, will never Roll over, unless..., will Drift easily and all. If you are a kind of person who go Auto Cross at every chance he get = Yupe 100% this car is for you. You will also Enjoy Twisty Road where you feel no Body-Roll during a Twist at high-speed.....Yupe!! If you are a kind of person who love Speed "Need for Speed", Day to Day driver, Street Race once in a while.....= 75% the FT86 is for you If you are a kind of person who Drool every time he see a Mustang GT500 Shelby knowing it packs 600+ HP....= 20% FT86 is for you. Also this type of person is the one who have Balls in their mouth, they keep talking about which car has more power, or how much power they have, and never really do sht with it!!! I guess it comes down to what you want to do. Again, during a Race, the one who is willing to throw his life away win...it is not the car....it is the driver LOL |

It also goes up and down -- the handle on the side pumps it up or down. |

I would test drive both (I have).
Having driven multiple versions of the Genesis Coupe, 2 BRZ and a FR-S in addition to a Veloster Turbo.... it is preference. I'm a Hyundai guy; I drive a Tiburon and love it. I'm already mourning my sunroof - I take delivery of a BRZ on July 1st. When I drove the Genesis Coupe... it is exactly what the name says. It's a coupe version of the Genesis. I found it to be 'big', 'bulky'; but very awesome. But in the end; I just didn't like it. My 2nd BRZ test drive was just after a rain; it was like Subaru cheated. I got that tail out on a road behind the dealership and there was no way I was going to pass on owning one. Go drive both; then pick. We can't pick for you. P.S. First post! |
