For FRS, there's a price difference. It's under $30k... vs Supra is over $30k

I don't doubt that the Supra will be well over $30k (probably closer to $60-70k if I had to guess) but that doesn't stop Toyota from making a interesting decision if they view Toyota as the green/boring lineup, Lexus as the luxury brand and Scion as the sporty/fun lineup. Not saying if a Supra came out it would be a Scion, I'm just saying many of us were surprised the FRS was not a Toyota here in the USA. |

My bet is we won't see Toyota Supra for very long long time (line 86) and like you said, it'll be $60k~$80k price tag |

wait a min, a brand new Camaro SS is about the same price as the Supra Turbo was back then..and quicker...sooooo....yeh. doesn't make sense. a base corvette is $49k. i was a kid when the MKVI Supra was around so my perspective is probably a little skewed for what a new Supra should be.

FYI in France a base Corvette 6.2 V8 starts at 83.500 €. I'd take a 70.000 € Toyota Supra with good handling.

And even the only place a new Camaro SS would take it is in a straight line.

A new supra, if priced the same as the last supra, would cost between $58k to $72k, after adjusting for inflation.
The Supra was $38k to $48k in 1990s dollars, in today's dollars it would be significantly more. |

I hope they would release a MK5 in the US as a Toyota and Lexus could have their own version, just slap a SC badge on it.
