New here. Yesterday, June 1, we dropped by the dealership to see if we could get a 2013 GBS Limited Manual but there was none coming to the area. We were able get an order in with a $500 deposit. We got a VON but whether it translates to a 2013 or 2014 is still unknown. Estimated date says October 2013 though so it might be a 2014.

what is the minimum amount of deposit Subaru takes for a order of a BRZ?

Depends on the dealer, sometimes 500 up to a few thousand I've heard. I only put 500 down to bring my car in, most should be like that. These cars aren't sitting on the lot very long so if you don't buy it someone else will

I'm looking into this as well. If the 2014 is close I'll just get that. If not I will do a 2013 BRZ Limited. I would love some BRZ STi info too. It would be nice to know the differences between the two model years before I make a choice.

Color choice is up in the air, I was thinking black, dark grey, red, or WRBP again.

I called a dealer on Friday in San Antonio and asked if ordering opened up anytime soon. They said they didn't know when it started but I would be contacted as soon as it did, so I would be one of the first to put in an order there. I haven't been contacted by them yet.

Ran into something today. Went into a well known Subaru dealer here and they said that they are releasing it in march of next year but is keeping it "hush hush"

I'm assuming this isn't correct. Are they just trying to sell these 13's by lying or mis informing me?

I'm looking at one around nov-Dec and have been focusing on the 14's
