The car drives fine and feels normal, I think their rack may have spit out those caster numbers in error because the tech assured me that the car wasn't doing what the numbers show when he was aligning it. Also found that their rack is brand new so it may need to be calibrated... not sure, but thanks anyways for bringing that to my attention. I definitely want have the peace of mind that the car is dialed in right before hitting the track. EDIT: ![]() Just got back from getting it realigned and caster double checked. This looks better to me, what do you think @Racecomp Engineering ? Last edited by ATL BRZ; 05-30-2013 at 10:21 AM. |

Much better! A little more camber front and rear would be helpful at the track but that's not a bad compromise for a street car.

![]() Day 1 of 2 at Road Atlanta in the books. Ran four full sessions in the HPDE with Peachstate PCA in the advanced solo group. The car ran great with 93 octane and 1/2 can of Torco Accelerator race gas concentrate to supplement. Grip was awesome as the day progressed and the track warmed up. I can't wait to get the JDL UEL header on the car and tuned because unlike Atlanta Motorsports Park, I was really wanting some more midrange torque out on track today. An oil cooler is definitely the next thing to install soon. I wasn't monitoring temps but it was probably north of 240F at some point. I got some great GoPro footage that I'll upload tomorrow night or Monday. Four more sessions to look forward to tomorrow!

Video from the HPDE last weekend at Road Atlanta. Sorry about the mono audio; I didn't realize my mic wasn't stereo.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd1RswQAXvY"]Subaru BRZ at Road Atlanta HPDE with Peachstate PCA, June 2013 - YouTube[/ame] She ran great, never had any issues with anything running 93 octane with 16oz of Torco Accelerator per tank each day. I'm really pleased with the tire and pad wear after three HPDE's. High res pics coming in a couple weeks or so. Last edited by ATL BRZ; 06-03-2013 at 01:53 PM. |

Longer 27 minute session with a pass!
[ame]http://youtu.be/awABtDWe7gU[/ame] I had the only car in my group running street tires and one of the only cars with less than 300hp, lol |

The RCE equal rate yellow springs and RCE hollow sway bars really help make the car feel pretty neutral on track. I have the sways set to oversteer and I felt the rear just begin to get loose on track a few times with TCS and SC off every session. It's very predictable since my rear camber is - 1.5 after installing adjustable LCAs and dialing out the excess. I could have easily convinced the car to oversteer into a corner with my steering inputs but that's never my objective on track since all that does is slow me down.

Would love to see those same videos but with a supercharger or something
. It's a shame you just didn't have the power to keep up with some of the porsches on the straights, as in the corners you looked quite competitive even with the tire disadvantage.
