Ya it was top gear and the cop car was a new corvette zo6!

Not going to matter, I'm pretty sure if you total your car while running from the police the insurance company would laugh at you if you tried to file a claim

Awesome. Thanks for the link.

For now, I will open to that stupid idea of the article on the GF fault. But until the GF is charged, arrested, and Jailed. I still take this nut job as a person who should pay for every penny of damage he had done, including his own injury.

Oh, and by the way, Law abide citizen never run from a police officer. I don't care if they pull a gun out whatsoever. I guess he never learnt how to behave when pulled over by Cops.

Let me rephrase it

1/ Pull over into the safest location (parking lot, or furthest Right lane)
2/ Remain still with Both Hands on the Steering Wheel, and do not move, even rolling down your window
3/ Wait to listen to the commands the police officer give
4/ Police officer will ask you to roll down the window. Now, roll it down, and proceed with every commands you are asked to do

****For those who are Paranoid. These are to paid attention to****

5/ Police officer will ALWAYS have their hand on the gun, ready to pull it out, they don't know who you are, and they need to protect themselves in case.

6/ Extreme circumstances, police officer may pull their gun and point it at you, but before they do such thing, you will see more than 3+ patrol cars surrounding you. Even so, they can not fire their gun, until you make even 1 SINGLE THREATENING MOVE, such as ROLL DOWN your WINDOW, and STICK YOUR HAND OUT !!

7/ If pulled over by 1 SINGLE Patrol Car on an ISOLATED Road, You have the Right to KEEP ON DRIVING, pull out your CELLPHONE, call 911, and state your SITUATION. The DISPATCHER will CONFIRM, or will DISPATCH REAL COPS to RESCUE you !

***Disclaimer*** I am not a police officer, and even if I was, every states, counties law will varies.

I think you forget the margin of error and the fact a lot of officers would have been afraid of approaching this guy.

1. the cops were told he was unstable, wanted to kill himself. In this type of situation cops are taught that this type of suspect is MORE likely to shoot at you.
2. they thought he had a gun in the car. He could have been shot if a cop mistakenly thought he was reaching for a gun when it was his licence or insurance paperwork.

yeah 1 threatening move could be anything the cop deems threatening.

This guy ran because he knows there is a chance that he may have been shot to death by the police for a misunderstanding. All in all running from the cops and getting into an accident was probably safer than taking the situation head on and the possibility of the cop taking his life.

yeah but in this case its actually the truth! waaaaaaa?
wouldn't you be afraid if you knew cops were going to pull guns on you because someone "said" you had a gun and plan on using it to harm yourself or others. I'm fucking running in that type of situation.

i know im going to get bashed for my post and i do not agree with fleeing and putting others in danger.

Number #2

Cops will ask you for your paper works. If you suddenly do that, they have the right to shoot at you.

For your number 2, please refer to my #2. REMAIN STILL , with BOTH HANDS on the STEERING WHEEL

**Regarding this guy**

There was no way in hell, he himself could have known about the Information the cops have on him, unless he was trully a MENTAL person, and he is aware of that ....

Like I said, if you have done nothing wrong, no one would run from a cop.

cop still might shoot you... a lot of them actually are scared for their lives in that type of situation because they have families back home and they are still only human. training only goes so far.

just like people believe extreme sports athletes are fearless... when in reality they couldn't be further from the truth.

situation A
Kid accidentally gets shot, crazy girlfriend practically gets away with murder, and no one ever finds out it is a set up.

situation b
kid runs, gets into a car accident, get flown to a hospital, exposes ex girlfriend for the liar she is, she serves time, he lives, justice served.

situation c
perfect world, kid never runs, in the heat of the moment he remembers your training from this forum, he doesn't get shot, girlfriend goes to jail forever, city awards him a turbo kit for his bravery... lol

He knew long ahead of time that his girlfriend was crazy before any of this had happened, trust me I've had my fair share of crazy bitches. He could have just put the pieces together when he just so happened to get pulled over in his situation.

Felony stop, just sit there and listen to the instructions given by the officer.

I'm not going to be selfish and run, putting OTHERS in danger including the officer. I would just sit there and be a good suspect while obeying any directions given to me. The only person in danger in that situation is me, and I will keep it that way and let the officers arrest me and get me in custody.

The battle will be fought in the courtroom, where it belongs
