First your Hot then your Not

..........Uuuuuummmmmm so no more Input.............

--------Ok so the Date will Sunday June 9th
--------Meet Time and Starting Point .................

I was hoping to have much figured out by now so I really don't know how this is going to turn out. Not a lot of communicating. I guess we will give samseed until Tomorrow evening to respond with the rest of the info. Ill try PM. If not I really don't know how this is going to turn out. There is not very much communicating going on. I cant do it all you know?

So if we don't hear something soon SilentAngel would you like to take care of the rest? You seen to be active/involved.

So every one who wants to do a drive lets start brainstorming........ Lets Use our 'S . I not going to post this on the Colander Its a little to late I think, and see how this turns out before I/we go further with a CenCal Drivers

Replied to your PM, but i'll go ahead and say it here to. I live in Madera and its about a 45min drive for me to get to fresno, so its not exactly easy for me to come up with any routes because i'm not there and don't know any good driving roads either, if i can find some info from some of my friends on some possible routes/driving roads i'll post them up and maybe someone closer can check them out? I usually go to clovis about once a week to visit my dad, but i won't be doing that this week.

All you have to do is look at a map.... http://goo.gl/maps/9vkZq Something like that. An you don't have to just do them in Fresno Its like what is the point on making CenCal if you not going to drive your area? This is the reason why no one wants to be involved with Central Cal. We have the hole state, Monterey, Pismo, The hole National Park!!!! Like where is the initiative? your willing to drive to the bay but not Fresno?

So if you guys would like how about this http://goo.gl/maps/kCkPM .the in a few weeks start one more North in your direction.

That isn't what i meant. I like checking out the area's we are going to drive first to make sure it'd be a good fun road. I don't want to pick a route get everyone out there and then the road be 25MPH all the way through it. What i meant is that i usually don't have a lot of opportunities to go outta town. I'm usually in Clovis at least once a week to visit my dad, so i could possibly check out roads around those days but it won't be a very long time available as i leave his house at about 6ish. There isn't anything in my town at all, our mall is seriously a small Walmart. So i thought the closest and the one with the most people as far as i know which would be Fresno. From what I've seen a lot of people on here have problems driving even to just Modesto which is also central cal, I'll be trying to find good roads around Fresno/Modesto or where ever, I just don't know how many people are willing to travel from this area or know any good roads myself.

lol as long as there not dirt and the wheels are turning, there all good. I know what you mean though, that's why we should do ours in all areas like South Central Valley/Bako, North Central/ your area-Stockton we will get it together just takes time.

Sounds good, like i said i have some friends that go driving on some back roads, and i'll probably be talking to one of them soon and see if he knows any good roads that won't thrash our cars lol, he usually drives a truck. I'll see if there are any sort of areas around my town but i kinda doubt it. Everything I've ever seen around here is just either poorly maintained or its just a straightaway.

I disagree with everything you just said and heres why.. 1.So yesterday I woke up & felt like a drive. I opened google maps and found what looked like a 25 mile stretch of twisties maybe a half hours drive from me. I thought about posting on our thread(AZ) what I was doing but I too decided I should check it out being new here. Got to the turnoff, it was fucking gravel! FUCK that! No way my car is being subjected to that! I suppose I could have used satellite view to determine road conditions, not sure how descriptive it is.
2.No one wants to be involved with CenCal? NorCal begs us to come to their meets, and theyre always asking for us to set up something for them to show up for. We dont tho because A.My town has NOTHING to offer anyone,B.The closest member(silentangel) is 40 minutes away. His closest member(you,Joseph, unless there is some1 in Fresno,I think there is a guy there sometimes) is 40 minutes away.If you go North of me,its 40 minutes to 3 members in Modesto, then another 25 minutes to 3 more members in Stockton.THAT is why we dont do many meets. Also like SilentAngel said,a LOT of the Merced,Madera county roads are in complete disarray.
3.Were willing to drive to the Bay because A.There are some SICK roads to/from there,B.They are a really cool group of peeps who are very enthusiastic and generate huge turnouts for the tiniest "event."
Now the 1 thing I did agree with was the National Parks thing,so there is that! Seriously I bet there is some great roads around Sequoia Forest,Yosemite, and isnt there a park with a lake up above Fresno? But thats really about it from what Ive seen. I like your enthusiasm,I was alot like you when I first joined the froums and realized people with my car were hanging out, driving. But dont get so angry when it doesnt happen as often as youd like. Unless you really have very little to do,in which I congradulate you on your success, mostly people just have alot going on,and unless your VERY passionate about cars,it takes alot of effort to really stay involved. The east bay crew is a little different because for so many of them the great roads are just an alternate way of getting where they were going anyways. Ive also found out this. Post a meet/drive/event,and people WILL come. Might not be many, but it doesnt have to be all formal. Just post a quick thread with a meet spot, time, and estimated distance and someone will show..:happy0180:

You beat me to it Riich could not have said it better myself. 559, I understand your frustration, but as Rich mentioned, if you set it up with enough 'heads-up", people will come. Doesn't have to be a big drive event, could just be a meet at a parking lot at chat. Just because people aren't actively posting doesn't mean people don't care. For example, we only got about 4-5 posts for this mornings Mt. Hamilton drive but had 12 folks turn out.

FYI, 86 DRIVE just started off with 3 dudes that met up to go for a drive one morning

1. What do you expect Your in AZ, AZ is a desert!!!! Every road off a main road is dirt!!! I know that I lived out there half my life. Born in Phx, lived in Chandler, Good Year, Avondale, above Sun City, Flagstaff, Kingman,........ Satellite mode helps a lot. Go up to Sedona/Cotton Wood area. Nice up there. 2. I was refuting more or less of other peeps in the area!!!! I know what you mean about NorCal, its been nothing but Love from them. But what does distance have to do with it? I use to drive to AZ from Three Rivers CA To race at Thunderbird, just so I could race 2 times a week. That's being about it, not just talking about it!!!

Mad lol im not mad, you said it best in this sentence,
( But dont get so angry when it doesnt happen as often as youd like. Unless you really have very little to do,in which I congradulate you on your success, mostly people just have alot going on,and unless your VERY passionate about cars,it takes alot of effort to really stay involved).

That's the difference. I Have been involved in the car seen since I was 16. and motor sports since..... I don't know I go my first dirt bike when I was 4 or 5. I grew up in AZ and just like you found out there is all all it had to offer was a dirt road! haha Shit I when to high school in Kingman (I know, ) for a couple years but the best thig about it was there was no football team, we had a race team! Yes the school actually had there own race cars you got to work on in mechanic's class.

But im not mad, yes its frustrating when you trying to get people involved but and organized and no one wants to help! An just like most people I have a lot going on. I get to bed about 12-1am an back up6-7, every day. That's why a lil frustrating though cause no one wants to lend a helping hand.

Im not trying to be mean or mad, just to the point! I didn't know every one is so sensitive. My bad.:happy0180:
