I feel useless posting this here but I guess all this beer in my system is giving me motivation to do so. I was a VAG guy for a good amount of years. Had a GTI MKIII, a MK IV R32, a MKV GTI, and an Audi A4. I won't go into specifics about each car but all the VW's had many upgrades to the overall car (not just for power but for getting the power to the ground as well. Also with my MKV I was a parts tester for a company which I won't name here). The Audi was much tamer as it was my wifes car and she only knew one speed BALLS FAST. Like everyone else has said they are two different animals. Test drive and see if it is something you will enjoy. And I think that is the whole point of the FR-S, enjoyment. I do miss that VR6 sound tho... If I could help anymore without my opinions or experiences becoming involved I would. Unfortunately no one but you can make the decision if these cars are for you. If ya have any questions I could help with hit me up and I'll do my best to answer.

I'll be picking up my Asphalt Grey Auto FRS tomorrow! Not a single option but who cares I got such a massive deal I couldn't be happier. Oh yeah I didn't trade the TDI either

Edit: btw I leased it in full prep for the upgraded model whenever it comes out. My dealer already said it would be as easy as signing my name a few more times and restarting the lease, I'm definitely ok with that lol. I'll probably just do rims and cosmetic mods this time around.

Honestly I'm afraid the TDI would beat it in a drag race lol. I won't however have to slow down for another corner ever again

I didn't know we had a new moderator.

Really you wanted input from the forums members and you use vulgar language with them.

Show some respect dude only fools need to talk to someone like you did.

That was awhile ago. I regret how I reacted. Just sounded like " gtfo you euro troll" type replies right off my very first post and I didn't wanna hear it cuz I wasn't trolling

I am still new to who the whole ft86 community, but from what I can tell, the community is much different than any other auto community I have been in before. For example, for most, aesthetics come AFTER the go fast stuff... Most people will plan out their builds before even starting on them, and then prioritize the functional parts over the aesthetic parts. Also, these guys aren't afraid to pay money for quality parts. You won't see any jerry rigging or cheap knock offs around here. We respect the amount of effort that goes into research and development of these parts and are happy to pay them appropriately.

Also, coming from the audio/VW community recently myself, I can definitly say that these guys are much more mature than anyone you will find in the euro scene. It's honestly the best auto community I have ever been in and I am definitly happen to be a part of it. Y'all are great!

Yes the VWVortex is a joke. It's just straight slammed car assholes. The Euro scene is diffent cuz half of those cars come with a turbo stock and all you need is a $600 tune to add 40whp/80tq. It's literally that easy. This community got RWD
and no turbo. Gotta pay to play for speed in the JDM community it seems. If my fiance and I happen to find a couple real jobs soon she's already on board for a $6000 supercharger setup. It's funny how much she's fallen in love already. It's nice to see
