I personally would have them just fix it. I wouldn't cover it up. But that is just me, knowing that it is damaged underneath(even if I couldn't see it) would still bother me.

I feel the same, but I like the idea of there being bondo on my car even less. Also, if they send it to the body shop don't they report it to CarFax?

You can always ask them how they plan to repair it, and tell them you don't want a cheap repair(aka bondo). Tell them your concerns about having it repaired. It sounds like they are a good dealership and will do what they can to make it right. |

So, so far the consensus seems to be to fix it. I am certainly thinking about it, asking for a TRD intake and 5AD wing is tempting as well.

I would leave it and live with it - it's not that bad
Get parts in return - intakes don't do that much - get a full exhaust system & rear diffuser |

I already have a full Nameless Performance setup, the diffuser is a good idea though. I like the idea of the intake add to get rid of all that noise tube stuff and get a bit more flow.

Honestly, I would just make sure that there are no microscopic cracks in the paint where water can get in and cause rust and get them to put a kit on. Factory primer and galvanized steel will resist rust much better. By pulling the dent and filling with bondo, you are making that spot vulnerable to rust especially on the rocker panels. They will have to grind off the factory primer/galvanized coating when they make the repair.

So, heard back from the dealership today. I had told them I didn't want the side skirts because they would look horrible by themselves. I then made a counter offer of the TRD intake and the 5AD wing since it would be the same dollar amount as the skirts. I was told that since I didn't want the side skirts or for them to fix it they would only offer the intake OR the wing, not both, essentially cutting their offer in half. Anyone have any suggestions on how to take care of this? I'm almost to the point of using my insurance then having them reimburse them...
