I am new to the forum and have a deposit on a 10 series as well. The information I have about the New Bespoke system is that the navigation is built into the unit and the app is not required to access it. This means it should work faster and much better than the one it replaces. I too feel it should be included for the premium price we are paying.

BTW, Albert New at Power Cerritos in California is the guy to go to...if you want a series 10, I suggest you bug him he's in fleet. He's great for any Scion for that matter! 562-802-4000

wow! 300 watts is pretty nice! I dont know much about car audio but it seems to me you can run 270 peak power speakers with this without an amp... infinity kappas are rated at 270 and those speakers are incredible. (correct me if im wrong about this)
where did u get this info? According to scion's bespoke owner's manual, stock speakers have a peak of only 40 watts and RMS of 17.5... I find it hard to believe our head unit producing 300 watt

This thread has an image of the new head unit that wil be standard on all Scion MY14 cars, including in Canada according to my dealer.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34091

I was also told that the 10 series FRS sport this same unit.

The system is 300 watt total power I believe. I'm still looking online and in the forum to find where I sourced that information but it is possible it was from an online chat with a Scion representative. I do love chatting with them... (best way to get answers... I don't rely on internet speculation). Still looking...

From the sounds of it, they will want to see the broken headlights before they will let you order the new set.

Interesting that the stock deck has a map button too. I wonder what is required to get that working. Or maybe its a mistake.

I'm getting multiple requests here and on another forum for my VIN so others can order Series 10 HID's. Not going to happen, here's why.

I got the same requests on an FJ Cruiser forum. My FJ Cruiser TRD S/E came with a set of unique wheels only available to those with a VIN. I made the mistake of giving my FJ VIN to someone who said they would order a set for their personal use but then ordered sets of wheels from dealers across the US and sold them on eBay for a profit. Toyota eventually noticed the fraud and put a hold on my VIN for purchase of anything S/E related without prior approval from TMS after dealer confirmation of ownership and need.

I imagine buying several sets of Series 10 HID's for resale would trigger a similar fraud alert that would draw unwanted attention to the legitimate owner and could cause trouble down the road.

I'm willing to help others as much as anyone, but not when the possible consequences outweigh the risk.

Toyota shouldn't ding anyone for sharing a VIN that is visible to everyone from the windshield.

Not gonna lie but my VIN is going to have a illest business card covering it! Did some research on our double din. Its the same unit that goes into UK spec GT86. Its called the "Touch" and "Touch and Go". The touch and go system has the navigation brain sitting under the touch screen itself which are identical. I cant believe Toyota is so cheap for not including the unit.

Edit* entune also has a similar setup with a unit piggybacking off the touch screen. Maybe wait to find a totaled 2013 Toyota Camry at the wreckers in a few years and take the unit.

Toyota is obligated to take steps to ensure a designated limited edition with claims of unique features remains limited.

No VIN's are visible from the outside on any of my cars, it's a basic step toward privacy protection recommended by ID theft protection services.

And anyone using another's VIN without their permission is committing fraud. I'm not an attorney, this isn't legal advice, just trying to help others avoid potential trouble.

I had inquired about getting the parts prior to putting a deposit down on a 10 series with a buddy of mine that works at Toyota dealership in there parts department, he said it was not going to happen and that just for him to order the parts Toyota needs proof there is a valid reason he is ordering them, he went into a long story about an FJ he had to get replacement rims for. So yeah long story short it well be difficult to get the parts even if people get the vins.

I remember reading this as well on the Scion.com 10 Series unveiling, but since they now how the updated pictures and details, the link to the unveiling has since been removed.
