Sorry, by "harness" I mean adapter. Yes, I used "Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness For Toyota 87-Up Power 4 Speaker"

and I used a bracket... But really it's just a gap filler...

I used this: Metra 95-8202 Toyota DDIN Multi Dash Kit

What I did was cut the mounting portions off the back of the dash kit, it fit pretty snug into the opening in the dash piece.. I merely took some clear silicone and "glued" it from the back. Not in between the pieces, just coated the back sides and let it dry over night. The metal bracket for the factory radio fits right on the new unit and perfectly in place.

You can see here, though the I'm going to redo the red dash as I'm not happy with my amateur PlastiDip creation...

The peices are only attached to the dash via the silicone so when I take the dash off those come with it.

Costs a little more, ($700-800) But an damn fine headunit.
Without having steering wheel controls, the volume knob is a big selling point for me.
I have this radio for sale $575 free shipping. It was installed in my 370Z for a few months. Then I received the DNX7180 as a gift from my girl friend. I can post pictures if anyone is interested, and I only do PayPal transactions with signature required FedEx shipping
