Just to confirm - are these dynos with the non-muffler or muffler version?

Is there any way to get dynos for the other system?

Is there any way to get decibal readings for both non-muffler & muffler versions (for us living in oppressive socialist state of California)?

Thanks

these system are made in california so they are california law friendly

both system yields the same number, the only difference is the sound and loudness

AB = 93 decibels

ABM= 90 decibels

All exhausts MUST have a muffler (read MUFFLER, a resonated substitute is not adequate) in CA, even if you fall below the dB limit:

CA. V.C. 27150 (a) Every motor vehicle subject to registration shall be equipped with an adequate muffler in constant operation and properly maintained to prevent any excessive or unusual noise, and no muffler or exhaust system shall be equipped with a cutout, bypass, or similar device.

That being said, you'll probably never be stopped for the AB alone. Myself and many others in CA bought the muffler delete with no problems (though as a disclaimer, I ended up going with a different exhaust eventually - not for legal reasons though).

Thanks for the info.

Curious, why did you end up going with a different exhaust? Main thing I'm worried about is the tone of the exhaust I'm not a huge fan of the sound it makes but it definitely makes good power (which is my priority)...

I actually liked the sound of the muffler delete a lot - it sounded good, slightly louder than I expected but nothing bad. I passed by plenty of cops with the muffler delete installed, no issues.

I swapped it out because I went with a Borla Cat Back. I thought I would be happy with just an axle back system but that didn't last long - did some research on cat backs and ended up buying the Borla one - the Borla mid pipe wasn't compatible with the muffler delete (just the way the pipes are shaped) - so I replaced my OEM mid pipe + Works muffler delete with the complete Borla cat back.

I ended up selling the Works Axleback to another member of the forum locally.

Ah ok thanks for the insight!

Why catback? I can't see any point in going catback over axleback. Was it a weight issue, or sound?

Just curious

Just curious
going catback reduces the bends of the oem mid-pipe to achieve maximum flow and power

sounds remains the same (at least with our design)

U can check it out in this link

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37497

the audio of my phone sux. Hit me up and I can show u in person sometime.
I dont think the works parts affected it much compared to how loud my muffler already was. And all the new sound is all from the header.
also the dyno at works rates much lower than most. Gonna take it to my other guy next week.
