I got one of those codes after i put my CAI on, I think it had something to do with my MAF sensor not completely seated. Hopefully thats what is screwing you up and not a seal.

This thread is so full of win,

Between the blind helping the blind and the typical hit it and quit it JV action I honestly don't know where to start,

Honestly there is so much bad logic in here it would have been better if people didn't answer questions they don't understand.

Honestly if you paid a tuner, (you didn't you paid JV)

but if you had paid a tuner to help with the install of the fuel pump, and the tune, and your shit failed...on the dyno...with the GURU himself tuning, he should be all over this trying to make it right, you shouldn't have to be asking for help on the forums, and I wouldn't have dedicated the first several posts to praising your "tuner" ...considering your car doesn't work now...

all internal documentation points to combustion chamber DETONATION as the cause for the direct injector seal failures seen by trackday/"spirited driving" customers. there is a specific pattern of rev limiter in third(this car does more than just cut spark at the limit) quick shift to 4th and a quick on off throttle sequence that provides the knocking that moves the direct injector up and down in it's bore exposing the nylon seal to direct combustion conditions...destroying the seal. (happened to a friends car this weekend and he knew exaxtly where it happend!)
There are other conditions to be sure but the fix is to change ECU parameters to eliminate the potential conditions which cause this knocking.
ITS KNOCK CAUSED BY YOUR TUNER that CAUSED your injector seal to fail. PERIOD

LOL, he's not my boy, and I am genuinely interested in the videos. I don't have a dog in this fight, I value and accept all FACTS.

Thanks for your valuable contribution.

I see deleted posts coming in this thread very soon. I almost feel like this is turning into a West Coast (Innovate) versus East Coast ( @Visconti ) battle. I just wish the truth could be told from both sides so this could be settled.

I actually don't even like Superchargers, and Innovate had nothing bad to say about Visconti (wish John had the same professional courtesies).

This is turning into a Vendor vs reality situation, which means likely Hachi will have thread closed because JV doesn't favor contents...yet again, but it's cool word seems to be getting around, it would just be nice if "THE GURU" would humble us with his presence and explain how perfect his tuning was, and how perfect tuning killed this motor....you know

See now you are starting rumors. "This" motor is not killed. Nobody said there was perfect tuning. If @Visconti is adding in more fuel in the ROMs and the AFRs are not responsind appropriately, then there is something wrong with the car which is probably the point at which he stopped tuning it till the problem is fixed. I like the theory of knock/detonation destroying the direct injector seals though.

Things like this make it very hard to know who to trust in the industry.

I'm not starting rumors...Who was tuning the motor?

Who installed (or helped with) the fuel pump....

Who claimed DI issues when the Codes say Bank one lean? (not the codes for the DI seal failure)

Who is avoiding this thread?

Who's car has had no issues for 10K miles on the AEM system that John said (ignorantly and beligerantly) couldn't work?...(wait that's me...NVM)

it's actually easy to tell who to trust...just look for the tuners people aren't talking shit about continually...look for tuners who respond in both positive and negative threads and act like professionals...that is if you want a professional tuning your car.

My advice is trust no one. Or at least trust, but verify. I always recommend keeping multiple options available to yourself as well kind of like a contingency plan.
