I haven't seen more than a couple builds (outside of dedicated track cars) that even need more than a 235. A good 235 is a LOT of tire for a car this small and this low powered. Under 250ft-lbs/300hp a 235/40 is plenty. If you can't maintain grip with that much rubber, it's your fault, not the hardware

If you asked the question about a white BRZ on Baseline because you saw one there today, it may have been me. I have a pearl white BRZ and was on Base line from I-10 to Central. Took a nice drive up the hill to the TV towers. Never been there before. Very nice road for our cars.

I had 235 Dunlops on stock rims. The tires slightly bulged, and so I think 225s are a better fit.

Oh yeah I was talking about with an aftermarket rim. I just think that for a daily driver and some track/autocross stuff 235 seems to be the best all around size for the car.

I have been checking out my Moto-East updated tune (Mike at Moto is the first to do a 200 whp na tune), and gee willikers, does it have some get up and go. I did a 4000 rpm launch in a parking lot and left about twenty feet of rubber, and not with the crappy stock tires. The car was shod in 225 bfg rivals - very sticky tires.

Watch out for the dreaded tread splice when you're doing that. Doesn't hurt anything, it just looks bad.

Took a few but they came out meh. I usually don't add filters and borders but seems like the only way to get people to pay attention. These are at that one ASU parking lot that we met the Genesis group. Wished that cloud cover was better.

On E85, PPE Engineering EL ceramic coated headers, overpipe, front pipe w/hi flo cat, midpipe, single magma flow exhaust, cai intake (adapted to stock snorkel). Also the car is down to 2630 lbs.

Headers, overpipe, front pipe, mid, axl back, and wheels are all lighter than stock. My suspension is probably heaver than stock.

I plan to drop another twenty lbs. for competition with a lighter battery, and eventually another 34 lbs. with racing seats.

The car probably had no more than 2 gallons of gas when weighed (at the El Toro pro-solo on corner scales). And it had no junk in the trunk, no floor mats, and no owners manual.
