There are many options for computation fluid dynamics software that you could actually test your designs in. If you're serious about validating the aero advantage of your design I would look into software by PTC and by CD-Adapco as they both have CFD packages. Neither of them are cheap, but they are pretty accurate. Additionally, you might be surprised how relatively inexpensive it is to book some wind tunnel time. There are a couple of low speed (car speed vs. airplane speed) wind tunnels across the country that will book time for testing. If you could find someone to 3D print some of your designs you could show up with a couple scale models to test.

I would love a simple lip off the front of the bumper (also a replacement for the "diffuser" on the back) I am going to pre-peg c/f over the existing one lol

Thanks! i really want to make this kit a success once the final render has been made, because its inspired by the forum itself and its members. Id hate for the aftermarket industry offer ricey kits for such a exciting car to appear in the auto industry. If i can help it. Ill try my best.

To answer some questions, i will be making 2 variant kits one for the FRS and one for the BRZ (not sure if International GT86/Toyota86 owners will be interested). The reason why I am making 2 different kits is because they both give very different feels aesthetically and I focus my designs on OEM-like qualities. So two different OEM looks means i have to make two different kits.

This will be my first full design i wish actually make some profit from even if the vendor who will manufacture and supply the aero is still pending.

While i wait for my design team to get together, i figured id make a thread just to get some consensus from the forum (you consumers) and for those who are looking into buying some aero for their BRZ or FRS.

**For those commenting** Please be constructive and express your thoughts and feelings and concerns clearly. I may or may not answer your posts. All posts are being read and considered by my design team and myself.

Lets start off with Sample 1,

This kit is going for a traditional look, focusing on more OEM type qualities. Putting more aggression and simplicity to work rather than flamboyant flaps/wings/and vents.

-The Front bumper shape is virtually unchanged from the factory bumper. However i have tightened up the front air damn for more popular style found in the current impreza/GTR/Evo. Iv have also added a 3inch carbon lip that can attach to this modified or stock bumper.

-Sidesteps have a simple 3in drop with a carbon rear splitter.

-Quarterpannel and Fenders have been oversized 10mm and 20mm to fit larger 5x100 with lower offset wheels.

The entire kit gives the illusion of having a lower car while keeping near stock ride height. Which was inspired by RWB built Porsche 911.

This car features a Titanium Silver, Hyperblack Advans, ProjectMu big Brake Kit, and a carbon mirror.

WIP1
That looks sweet Josh. I'm not a fan of bare CF, especially near the exhaust. It'll look good initially but in due time, it'll start to weather. I don't plan to do any heavy body mods so I'd skip the quarter and fender panels.

I would hae to see it fully complete but if it's fully ABS, clean looking and bolts over the oem stuff, you'll definitely have something going for you. :happy0180:

if anyone saw previous post, ignore, I just woke up and derped pretty hard

The fenders, do you think they'd look weird without wider tires? If I got this car the first thing I'd do is try to close the wheel well gap, rather than switch wheels.

This is everything i look for when finding an aftermarket kit. I too agree that we need kits that compliment the oem body and frankly i struggle to find kits that achieves this. Glad finally someone has decided to design kits that compliments the body.

I will be waiting for the Toyota86 version of your kit. As I am from down under, count me in as a prospective international buyer.

It would sound cool if someone saw your bodykit on a car and the owner would say. "I got that wings of war body kit." Sounds cool. Will you have a logo or a decal?
