Someting isn't right
Couple weeks ago I installed a set of springs. About a 1 inch drop. Yesterday I installed a set of SPC adjustable RCA's and the whiteline front camber bolt. Afterward I did my own alignment. A long ass day.
On the test drive last night I did a couple quick sweeps left and right. On one of the right turns I got a noise, like a tire rub and I felt the rear shift. I drove it home expecting to see that something had shifted in the drivers rear. Expecting that I didn't tighten something up and a component moved. It looked okay. This morning I jacked it up and double checked all the bolts. Good and tight. I drove it a bit today and any sharp right hand I get the wiggle, tire rub sound from the drivers rear. Something is moving that shouldn't but damn if I can find it. Guess I'm going to pull the control arms and throw the stockers back on. It won't be anytime real soon. Really the only new component to the rear. If so I'll pick up a set of better ones. |

A few people have mentioned traction control intervention from improper alignment, you might be hearing the ABS kicking in for that one tire. You might want to re-check your toe settings.

Easy way to diagnose it would be to totally disable TC/SC and go for another drive, if the sound goes away you know it's the SC kicking in.

Do it in a wide open parking lot for good measure. No need to go hitting any curbs.

Took it out to test the Nannie theory. I never turned them off and cannot make it act up again. A big parking lot, hard rights and lefts at speed, tight circles, it felt great. No noises or rear shifts that I had experienced the last couple days.
Scratching my head but relieved at the same time. |

my alignment was crazy after putting the SPC arms on, my rear toe was like -1.25 degrees and the car handled like it was retarded, it might be worth taking it in for a proper alignment (i'm not sure what method you used to do the alignment and how confident you are that it's within spec)

I'm about -.05 degrees (-.4mm) toe on the drivers rear, and +.13 (+ 1mm) passenger. I couldn't get the passenger side pulled in for some reason. Getting a set of adjustable toe arms and possibly another set of LCA's, after working with the SPC units I just don't trust them. Too damn ummmm.... flimsy. |

Seems a lot of these cars have an off center rear subframe which accounts for all the different side to side camber and toe issues. That's probably why you're struggling with the one side.
I thought the SPC arms felt flimsy too, especially they way the 2 parts bolt together, but other people have been running them for a while and at the track so i'm not too concerned about failure.
