iphone pic, stood really still and held my breath. The plate is not custom but believe me, it sent goosebumps for a week thru my wife and I. She opened the package and harassed me if I had it customized - I couldn't convince her a custom plate takes months to arrive, this came in 5 weeks. It is "custom" as in whomever sent it my way, was sent from above.

true story... stupid woman backs up into the fire hydrant in front of my house last night, as my wife was outside washing her car. Knocks the hydrant clean off and sends water spraying up 40-50ft in the air. I wasn't there but my wife said it looked like a tsunami on the street in front of our house. Luckily our driveway is sloped enough that no water came up to our house or into garage. Phew. Front yard is a mess though. Woman wasn't even apologetic or anything, even tried to leave the scene before police arrived.

+1 for a sloped driveway. -2 for messing up you yard. Who's gonna repair it? Sounds like shes gonna blame the hydrant for being in her way. Luckily it wasn't one of your cars.

Sorry for the double posts but I just want car enthusiats to be aware:

Stop by Union City NorCal Hobbies. Reedy Race is on and gonna catch some world class 10th scale touring car action. If you're into racing and cars, this is the race to get a glimpse of. World champs will be in attendance. I was gonna race but I've burned my allowances on the FRS . $200+ just for this 4-day comp. Then a $600 kit on the side b/c the race car will break parts. Not to mention $160 race batteries that are meticulously maintained. Shaking hands with Tamiy's world champions... priceless. Main event is on Sunday. Make it to UC to see the best in the world battle it out

Ahh, there's always next year. If you ever want to try RC or see what it feels like, let me know PM me. I've got Tamiya cars from slow to stupid fast (sorry no noobs on the fast motors). I've been doing onroad exclusively for a few years now. But if you wanna try off-road, I can arrange something. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

I wanna build a RC crawler. I might just buy a RTR kit. I have a 2WD Traxxis Slash with 50mph upgrades. I don't use it much anymore.

City is repairing the hydrant and repouring concrete around it. They also power washed the driveway and street so it's actually not looking so bad now. I may just need to buy some more gravel and replace what got washed away.

Ask the city to do it when they are there. I bet they are billing the lady (well her insureance).

so after the 86 DRIVE Hwy 1/84 cruise and breakfast at Alice's, I went with @MyRx and @Simpleviet to the RC races in Union City. What a cool little hobby that I knew very little about. Was fun watching the races and learning a few things about it, thanks @MyRx for bringing us over there.

a very short snippet of the racing action:

I snuck a 3-hour lunch today and watched the pros duke it out. Happily, 1st and 2nd place winners of the heat was Tamiya drivers. Their heat consisted of the top pro drivers advertised in the rc mags. Day is almost over...can't wait to see the winner's circle.

Thanks for coming out PMok and Simpleviet. Sorry I was MIA...I was either helping a friend or picking up my car (I loaned out 6 months ago). The noise inside was too loud to hear my phone.

No worries Lol I figured you were helping someone with their car. Maybe one of these days you'll let me drive one of your slower cars haha. I showed my wife the video and she said, you should get one and build a course in the backyard!

You're a lucky man. Like they say "easier to ask forgiveness than to ask for permission" haha. Anytime you want to drive one, let me know.
