It is sad that people keep trying to convince that this car's price is comparable to brz limited. People must be failing at counting money.
anybody with half a "nut" can plainly see the brz is the better deal, unless of course,ya like to give more to the poor dealer,so they can survive. personally,if that was the case,i would rather give the extra money to the "salvation army"..just sayin'

As I said long ago, there are three cost factors in vehicle ownership: acquisition, maintenance and disposal.

Based on those three and an educated guess from churning through cars and trucks at a pretty good clip, the somewhat rare 10 Series will easily cost less over a lifetime, or even less than a year, of ownership than any BRZ.

I called both manufacturers HQ this morning. Scion has 996 in the US, 125 in CA. Subaru has 600 in the US and 75 in CA.

It might be worth considering if you're planning extended travel in either BRZ or FR-S when there are 50% more Scion service points available to take care of any issues.
Not worthwhile to consider at all. Little crazy if u ask me to sway towards scion because of that

That's why I put "somewhat" in parenthesis. If your application is interesting enough to Toyota with exposure to a desired demographic in enough numbers, you might qualify with fewer than ten vehicles in service.

After much thought, I'm gonna ask for my deposit back on the Series 10 - in some ways a pity as per my dealer my order for a Series 10 with M/T was the first one placed in the NoVA area.

I'm able to pre-order a Subaru BRZ Limited in WRB for $26.7k plus TTL, with roughly the same delivery time frame (end of June). I can't justify spending an extra $1,400 for a car w/out heated seats, leather, etc even though it's more 'exclusive' and has better looking headlights. The BRZ is exclusive enough for me, still has HIDs, and my car will be a daily driver and non-garaged so the 'exclusivity' factor of the Series 10 will be further lost on me.

I hope that someone else who ordered a Series 10 at my dealership will now be able to get one quicker and enjoy it sooner.

Made the right decision
You will see another series years next year or two. I can guarantee that.
The Japanese loves to that "limited edition." It is limited, but you are going to see another limited.

Whew, you scared me. After the first sentence I feared reading the M, H or VW words.

If it weren't for my ability to get favorable pricing, I'd do the same thing. The BRZ Limited interior is a step up. Congrats, glad you're sticking with a true driver's car.

I'm amused that the Scion Canada web page has mysteriously deleted the glowing shift knob from the list of features for the 10 Series FRS, as well as the picture of it. Hmmm...

In other news, my dealer reported to me that he has unfulfilled Scion orders sitting around at port (presumably) because the people ordered the upgraded Pioneer stereo (the one with the TFT display) and there is a massive supply problem with this unit.

You're right Brently. They did delete the glowing shift knob.

They've updated the American website to include 10 series FR-S. $28180 for M/T and $29430 for A/T. Probably includes the handling fees and would explain the price difference from OP.
