Bored? Do you just go on Drives?

I don't know about you guys, but if I am bored, I tend to find my self hopping in my car and going for random drives. No destination. No reason. Just feel like driving. I am constantly finding myself sitting around the house extremely bored and just thinking " Hmm, I could really just drive. Lets do it." I live in the South East region of Pennsylvania, the landscape here is amazing and the mountainous roads and back road difficulty makes driving so much better. I can just go on 2 hr drives to anywhere basically and have a great time. I love finding treacherous roads while driving from job to job sites while at work and thinking "Damn, this would be an awesome road to drive my FR-S on." No, I am not talking about straight aways, those are everywhere and anywhere. I'm talking about extreme slopes going up and down, hills with hard turns at the bottoms, straight up mountain road climbing with steep windy and bending roads down to the bottom. Plus the views that I get to see of the mountain valleys make it just that much better when you finally reach the tops.

Anyone else love to just DRIVE when bored?

This is exactly why I hate being where I'm at in NJ. Love the car, love to drive it aimlessly, nothing but congestion and traffic no matter where you go at any given time

I'd love to. Took a trip to Asheville, NC this past Thanksgiving and as we got further away from NJ, the bigger my grin was especially when we hit the mountains down there.

Driving on any mountain road is the funnest thing you could do in this car, considering it is made for being fun to drive, not how fast you can go in a quarter mile.

I got my FR-S last September. There have been only two days I haven't driven the car. One was a day after receiving anesthesia for a routine medical exam and the other was the day our asphalt street was resealed. Other than those two days the least I do is take a drive each morning after breakfast (I'm retired). Living in N.E. Tucson there are several nice twisting drives I can take. One is 17 miles long and the other is 34 miles long. I'll be seen one one of those each morning or I'll be off on a week-end get-a-way somewhere else. Some days if I get bored I'll take both of them at different times. I appreciate this car more now than when I bought it eight months ago.

I've been doing a lot of random driving nowhere lately. Sometimes I like to just cruise for a few hours on the freeway, other times I go to my favorite mountain roads and

Very therapeutic, this car.

Of course, how else would i enjoy the car? Sure, you can go auto cross and the track but sometimes there's nothing better then the random ride and some good corners.

I have learned more about the connecting roads in last year, than the 15 previous in my area. So, yes, I head to car when bored, or just excited to go for a ride, I am itching to go right now.... Really hoping gas drops a little in price for the summer. Can not afford to keep driving this way(REVs over 3k all the time)
