Just got of the phone with SOA, apparently I have the most recent and last known version of the pump. They are taking a stance of " operating as intended and within specifications " so I asked for a concession and they offered me just enough that I can buy a TRD Intake, I have an HKS on Emma now, Maybe I'll just get the weathertech floor mats. Regardless I think I will un cap the Greddy Evo3 so I don't have to hear it anymore.

When did you get your pump replaced? Also, the (serial?) number you on the pump itself you mentioned in your earlier post, do you know if that's something we can just open the hood and check without taking anything apart?

Lol, I just reached out to a dealer here via email and the response I got was a link to the TSB from Sept 2012 and my VIN is way past it.

Feel like I'm talking to idiots when we know more than the damn dealerships.

Picked mine up Tuesday night. Now has ~200 miles on it. Chirping pretty loud.
Doesn't really bother me unless the windows are down. But it's very noticeable.
Looks like I've got a few pages to read to figure out my best course of action...

"Hi Matt,
Are saying that you want to trade your car for a new FR-S with revised injectors
or are you looking to have your injectors replaced.?
All FRS released from production meet Toyotas current requirement.
I am not aware of a secondary revision for the FRS.
Should you wish your vehicle serviced further please take to your local dealer.
It is the manufacturer / dealer goal, to satisfy through warranty or recall.
Also there are several performance injectors available on line.
Does this help ?"

Seriously? This is what I am dealing with currently. Think I'll continue to wait... they aren't touching my car.

Post a video, to make sure it's really chirping, not a normal DI noise.

My first pump was replaced in November, and the second one in February. The serial number is under the pump. the part number never changed, just the version number.

Keep us posted, typically if there is a real change the part number will change, a green dot sticker isn't really an indicator that the pump was redesigned rather it may have been manufactured to slightly different tolerances if anything.

Yeah, I'm in to see if this truly did anything, but my hopes are pretty low after attempting to communicate to a dealership and wanting to plant my head into a desk.

Got my HPFP replaced a couple weeks ago and put on a little over 500 miles when I noticed my little engine buddies were back and louder than ever.

I don't think it is worth the trouble to get this issue "fixed" when Toyota/Subaru is just replacing it with the same pump. I am probably going to hold out until a redesigned HPFP is released or until I got crazy from hearing crickets in my brain!!

Time to see what pump they use in the 2014 model and steal that one. If they use the same one again..... Wow is all I have to say.

Lol really? Toyota won't win this one if someone opens a class action lawsuit against them for the chirp. Tons of video evidence... Not to mention Toyota would be out a lot more money for a case like this instead of just FIXING THE PROBLEM. Once they start losing, they'll offer the "Oh, we'll use a new fuel pump and fix them all free" route.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with my pump from a functionality perspective, but I know there are plenty that are disgruntled about the chirp sound. I've grown to live with it now, but I'm hoping to see light at the end of the tunnel for a real solution to this, and I really hope it doesn't require a lawsuit...

Well after a few hundred miles, my car doesn't seem to be making any chirps. That's not to say it will stay this way forever, but it's looking good so far...
