In Philadelphia, he would still be considered an excellent driver. No one stays in their lane - including myself, but we have way more SEPTA (public buses) and Taxis that oddly enough don't know where they are going.

Actually, all passing is to be on left. However, nobody gets out of the left lane when not passing as required, so you have to go around them, left -right or up their A@@ to move on.

I have to agree with the other comments, you kinda lead him on. When he merged out of the carpool you could've easily just stayed on your lane. But you kept following him, and then sped up when you saw that Z at the end. Idk just saying... Plus I'm sure everyone is guilty of that at one point. Not so much like that camaro guy though, he was just a dumb ass. Lol

I really don't understand why people can't get that the left lane is not to be hogged by slow moving traffic. You should only be in it long enough to pass and then get back out of.

Not just California, it's required in Virginia as well as other parts. Left lane dwellers should learn to steer to the right.

How often does this happen to you guys? Please share your stories.

1:25 mark is absolutely pointless
Fyi that's actually a fourth generation Camaro but it shares the engine/chassis/everything else with the Firebird.

I dont get it too often but here is one of my favorite ones:

I was driving to my GF's house on a relatively open freeway. Two guys on an older Boxster pull up and start trying to race me. They are very persistent but I ignore them. They end up taking the same exit as me and I end up next to them at the next light. Light turns green and the guy stalls his car. I pause for a second so they can see me laugh at them as I drive off

Thx for the correction guys. Eh I guess I could've handled it better and just let him go his merry way after getting out of the carpool lane illegally. But you know how it goes, let him get to me (inconsiderate drivers just irk me). i was trying to keep my distance but the other cars were actually moving pretty slow that day. Dont believe my speed was excessive by any means. Unfortunately, the best path was getting back in the fast lane behind him. I sped up at the end because I had to catch my exit.

Yea he would've whipped me but not worth it.

Wonder if he taunted that Z.

Thx. I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Maybe it was because that was the first time it's happened to me since owning the car.

It's happened to me a couple times. I just let them pass. Who cares? This is coming from a guy who used to own a 500 horsepower cobra. Muscle cars are GREAT in straight line (or freeway in this case). Not much at anything else.
