FYI - Just posted on the meet thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=644

Since we're still throwing around dates for the June 3SIST3RS...if anyone wants to do a practice run this Monday the 27th, Memorial Day, I'll be at the Apple Store in Medina @ 9AM. We'll head out from there about 9:20 for Leakey, do the sisters run and then have lunch at the Bent Rim Grill back in Leakey. For anyone who has not done the 3SIST3RS drive before, this will be a good time to get acquainted with the twisties in preparation for the June Run. This is a spur of the moment family thing we just finalized this past evening. Along with my BRZ, a GTI and an Abarth 500 will accompany. For you newer 86 owners out there...you will enjoy the drive if it is your first time doing the sisters!! PM me if you have any questions. Would love to have some of you go with us and have some fun if you don't have any other plans for Monday!!!! Anybody who wants to play with us just show up in Medina! We'll also stop at Stripes in Leaky before we hit RR-336.

You all suck and your cars are slow...

Now that's out of the way, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi.

I've met a couple members in here out and about, even though I don't remember any real-life names. Don't take offense to it, I don't remember names easily. Been a fan of the car since it's debut. Had a lot of seat time in one member here's well-taken-care-of FR-S and I have to say, while it's not what I'm used to, it's a hell of a lot of fun. Has to be the best handling car out there for the money. Look forward to meeting with you all sometime and seeing progression of the modifications to the platform...I just might end up in a BRZ one day, who knows?

great first post Chris! I think we are going to shoot for the 22nd for a run! Judging from the last time and the growing number of owners here locally the turnout may be pretty good for this month.

BTW your mommy wagon is pretty cute! Glad to see you on here!

Tuck, 22nd or 29th will work for me.

@TEWwild showed up with us this morning for the sisters run! Thanks, Tim. It was fun, man! Today's run turned out to be a "Bring your wives and GF" day and I must have heard "SLOW DOWN" a dozen or two times on the twisties!!!! It was pretty cool how we all randomly met up on HWY 16 right before getting to Bandera on the cruze to Medina!!!

Today we did the sisters clockwise by heading out to Camp Wood first. It was a whole new drive experience going the opposite way for a change! RR335 was a blast heading north! Definitely want to do a clockwise run again.

After the run, our wives and my son's GF unanimously indicated they would NOT be attending any future 3SIST3RS runs with us.
We all offered to let them drive, oh well.

Here's the vehicle lineup at the Apple Store:

LOL wives and girlfriends to do racecar things is a dangerous game! I always enjoy running 337 backwards and headed out with Ajay a while back and ran 336 and 337 backwards and loved it, more fun IMO. I say we shoot for the 22nd. Still haven't gotten to really abuse the new tires and brake setup!

22nd works for me.

LOL... after driving to volente and up and down lime creek road, the wife and I both decided it was a good idea I go driving alone in the June 3sisters run.

How is lime creek? Since i live in McQueeney (10minutes east of New Braunfels) I've been tempted to head out to the road and go for a drive down it.

Lime creek is one of the best driving roads for both low and reasonably high speeds. A very tight section is very similar to the tight section of 337 but it's even lower speed. So brakes and the gas pedal will get a good workout. It's not that long though...

Amen to this. Done it several times in two different cars. It's worth the drive to Austin.

It's on the list of roads to run this summer!
