Went to the dealer today for a check enginelight (p0172 System too rich bank 1 ) . Tech told be it must have been a blip. He did say a new fuel pump came out . New style fuel pump covered under warranty on order to resolve the cricket noise coming from under the hood.

I did my pump, and the crickets were back that same day. I decided to wait until a new pump came out rather than change it to the same pump multiple times.

The service tech told me that the first fix they came out with did not work. The crickets noise would come back after a day or two. This new pump design just came out this week. Hope it works.

The guys over at Toyota of Naperville let me hang out with the Tech in the shop as he was fixing my ride. He was very cool . The program he was using could see everything that was going on with the car and how he could change things on her.

The service guy told me the new fuel pump would be in by this Friday. I am going to try to have the pump installed by next Thursday. I let you guys know ASAP if it worked .

My work building is on Hassell Road, but mine is a WRB BRZ with gold RPF1s. I never see anyone else (other than the guy who just picked one up here at work).
