MI isn't that strict about aftermarket parts, they'll even help you out installing aftermarket parts. they'll only deny your warranty if something breaks because of the aftermarket part you installed or if you have it tuned. plus it the whole cars warranty, let's say you replaced something in the suspension then something breaks because of it, then that's the only time they'll deny the warranty of the suspension but still honor warranty works on the engine.

anyway my brother had his brz tuned by orange performance yesterday and replaced his exhaust, test drove it and honestly orange performance did a really great job but it felt more fun without a tune. the tune has auto rev match, launch control and flat foot shifting although all those are great it took the fun out of the car. if i wanted a fast car i would've gotten an STi because we'll be spending a lot of money just to reach the STi's stock hp but the STi won't be as fun as a stock brz no matter what you put in it.

Hey Alabang,

Autokozmetix and I recently did a DIY on this. Thanks to local member HRTROB for his uncanny wiring skills in discovering how to do this.

Might I ask does that apply to the BRZ we have here as well? Also how much is the cost on labor and parts?

Wish MI did this instead of giving us heated seats.

Seriously, heated seats?

Sana MI an do this na lang. lol But then again they'd probably charge 20k!

I think having a rear fog lamp would be especially useful during heavy heavy rain that has people turning their hazard flashers.

Mga bossings, quick question lang... Is anybody here using an Android head unit? The logical choice is of course pioneer but I want a 7inch full touch Android 3g head unit. eBay littered with sellers from China and Hong kong but not really sure which one. I'm leaning towards android 3G head unit, not really for sound quality, but for the Apps for track time, lap time, acceleration etc..... Basically using Race bike Or mountain bike apps. Thank you mga sirs....

Cool... This will surely solve the torque dip. I'd like to have one but the hks sc is way to steep in pricing. I'd like to have the avo turbo kit though. I have spoken to an 86 owner during the hot import nights car show he has one installed and seems to be pretty happy with it. Unfortunately wasn't able to get his contact no. to get some help on ordering the turbo kit.

Brzfly320,

I was also originally going with the turbo route but turbo setups are very hard to tune for our cars and require an ECU reflash which I don't want to do. The HKS SC is pure plug and play and already includes the highly regarded F-CON system which just piggy backs into our stock cpu.

If you are interested in a turbo install, Autoplus along EDSA can hook you up. They have already fully tuned their BRZ turbo running at 300whp. Cost of the kit plus install and tuning is around 400K with a 45 day lead time upon ordering.

Nikdeng,

Thanks for that info sir. Saw the autoplus brz on fb but didn't know that it would be priced that way. Im wondering how much is the turbokit from speedlab. I prefer the avo turbo kit bec. Of the uel exhaust manifold. I just love the way it sounds.

Jet,

May I suggest an alternative as I have had a bad experience with a china android unit (hangs and gets hot quickly). You can get an ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD2 interface for Android or iPhone wi-fi dongle instead which you simply plug into the obd2 port of our cars under the steering wheel and load the torque app into your smartphone. This should give you all the car related real-time information you need such as acceleration, lap times, etc.. Cost of ELM 327 is just 2k pesos. (lots of sellers in sulit.com)

If you a more dedicated set-up you can also opt for the blitz touch b.r.a.i.n. system. Gives you all the data you will ever need from your car such as speed, rpm, oil temp, water temp, intake and exhaust temp, engine error codes, etc. Around 36K.

Hope this helps.
