Hey guys,
Ran a dyno test yesterday.

Based on my previous dyno test results, I have a slight improvement on the mid dip since the SW upgrade, however top end seems to level out sooner.

Dont expect much from this upgrade, its purely a fix on the idle dip and the injectors. In most cases the upgrade has already been done during PID for the newer vehilces and will be checked and done on your first service if not done.

So dont rush out and think your getting better performance, some of the guys have actually had better results before the upgrade.

Hope this helps

Took my car in today for an oil change and ECU software update. Turns out, since my car is fairly new, it already had it applied. The current code for automatics is ZA1JA01I.

Is the SW update something that the dealer must download or is it send to them by TSA? ie should all dealers have it although they might not be aware of it or can I tell them to download it if they don't have it? Also can the dealer check what is the newest version they have to be compared to version nr's posted in this thread?
Thanks for the help guys!

When they do the update I'm sure it shows the update versions - otherwise they wouldn't know if it needed it. I'm due for service in 2 weeks... Will let you guys (and gals) know!

I went on Monday and the upgrade was done. Bottom-end power is improved and the severe torque dip seems better. Quicker off the line for sure.

Hey guys!

Just had my update done few days ago at Toyota Gezina, Pretoria.

I managed to convince the service manager to let me have a few pics including:

1. The before upgrade
2. After upgrade
3. The actual update bulletin and the instructions from TSA :-D

Am sure this makes life easier...print, or email to your dealership, then, praise me :-P

Also had it done @Ryan86 There's a definite marked difference in performance, particularly in midrange. Maybe more noticeable up here at altitude than down at the coast?
Reckon it's a bit of a gti killer now!

My car went for its first service today and the update, and I can say that I really can feel a difference, didn't think I was going to but I really can, it pulls much better down at lower revs

It does hey, before i could barely keep up with a GTI, now i smoke them, and also my dad cant pull away from me in his 370Z, he does get of the line quicker, but only manages to stay about 2 car lengths in front, would most defnatly start to pull away from about 215km\h its a V6 good top end
