Look up the partners of MI. I'd follow with what is written on owner's manual and behind the fuel tank cover. 98 RON is recommended but 95 RON can be used without damage to the vehicle. Anything lower and... you will need your dealer to sign a document saying it can take 93 RON and will cover for any and all damages and related inconveniences with going against the manufacturer's recommendation.

Anyone have an idea where I can get the trunk liner that covers the tire? I find it annoying to have it sticking out.

Can't recommend it enough. Certain colors have shortages. I like the 2014 model in white but it has a LOOOONG waiting period. Almost as long as the BRZ.

To be honest I like it more than the BRZ because it is easier to get in, it has Harman Kardon stereo, Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, multi-function LCD with rear camera, 250BHP, sunroof, etc etc etc...

It has a lot of space for luggage and seats for adults.

Yes, BRZ is a sports car and 1/3rd the weight but wish the trunk was a but more useful other than putting in airline carry-on baggage.

Thanks for the feedback, will now definitely get one. Aside from the lack of power, I have a hard time getting in and out of the BRZ because of my back problems. I use my XV more often because of this.

yeah, i agree. i won't be using anything below 95 RON. i'm thinking about trying the non-100 blaze or xcs the next time i gas up to check if those would still produce the cricket sounds since they advised me against using blaze even if 1/2 blaze and 1/2 another fuel.

aside from the fuel, i'd have to say i have the same problem with my tire sticking out. its really annoying especially in the future when let's say you change your tire when you get a flat, all your stuff in the trunk would get dirty because of the flat tire. :|

I have difficulty cause I should eat clean and train dirty.
How do you like the XV? I am thinking of getting one this year.

SeaOil is 98 RON by default per their written sign. Problem is my route doesnt have me passing through a busy SeaOil station. I prefer a busy fuel station because the fuel will probably be new stock and the chances of getting mugged will be low.

I do not know why Subaru/Toyota couldnt make the spare tire compartment covered. Were they thinking that we'd put bags in the mag wheel cavity?

I temporarily used one of these which you can get from most car accessories shop. They are used to cover spare tires of the older model crv's. Prevents stuff from falling into the tire and under the trunk. Cheap solution.

Sometimes I feel that the XV actually pulls better than the BRZ. The CVT transmission is just so smooth and it returns very good mileage. Interior and amenities are almost an exact replica of your XT less the power tailgate and driver seat. Size and height is perfect for zipping around in traffic.

In the US, they no longer offer the full spare tire and instead just placed a space saver tire so they were able to flatten out the trunk.

Around how much? I was planning to have euro vehicle registration plate done with the LTO conduction sticker number on it but it's P950.

Nik if safety is your concern the 2014 Forester is the sole mini SUV that tops the updated IIHS tests

No need to put plywood. Cover is very strong once stretched over the tire. I got the cover for less than 500 pesos in banawe. Customized euro plates cost only 750 pesos here in Paranaque.

Link? Any discount if I'll get 2-3 sets.

Or I could just stick with printed out paper thing for 60-90 days. So long as the MMDA doesn't flag me down I'm fine with it.
