Hard to tell from the pics, but that piping that goes over the top looks like it's about the same height as the AC lines. Can you confirm? If it's lower, then there's a good chance that the GrimmSpeed strut bar will clear.

Thanks again Sapan for the awesome pics.
It wasn't our intention to dyno tune our FR-S in front of a big crowd before starting our dyno day meet lol, but we were trying to get the car ready for a few ride alongs. Of course mother nature had other plans. Anyhow, it was nice to be able to show the local community that our cars put out the numbers that we say they put out. ![]() If it weren't for the fact that we were a bit late to start the dyno day, we definitely would have cracked the 400whp barrier on pump gas and WMI on Saturday. The new WG springs were in place to make it happen. No worries though, we'll finish up the tune tomorrow and post up the final dyno charts. |

We'll see if we can put a bar across the struts towers tomorrow and take a pic of the clearance with the intercooler pipe.

To answer the questions about dynoing procedures, we do our pulls from 2K rpms. The reason for this is that you cannot tune what you don't sample. It would be difficult to get the AFRs, mbt ignition timing, cam timing, MAF/MAP (speed density) transition, etc right if we started our pulls from 4 or 5K rpms.
Also, the engine is being heat soaked during the entire dyno pull. Shortening the dyno pull by starting at 4.5K rpms shortens the time the engine has to work and will likely inflate the peak whp numbers in the process. The only time we'll start our dyno pulls at 3K+ rpms is when we dyno tune slushbox automatics. Those cars will downshift the moment you apply load, if you start the pull at 2K rpms. Also, our pulls are done in 5th gear, which is 1:1. In addition, we do not baseline a stock car in 3rd gear and a boosted car in 5th gear. Both stock and boosted numbers are dynoed in 5th gear to give us a proper delta when comparing boosted hp numbers to stock. |

The new pipe update is looking beautiful guys. The heat deflectors/shields...will those be apart of the included components for the system or additional add-on upgrades for a small fee?

On a side now, as it stands right now with 393whp DD and weighing in @ ~2800 we have a power-to-weight ratio of 7lbs/whp. That better power-to-weight ratio than an LFA which makes 451whp DD and weights 3552, 7.86lbs/whp. The only questions now is can you shift anywhere near the speed of an LFA gearbox and do you have enough rubber to get that power to the ground |

Yes, the header is a prototype 4 into 1 unit that we built in-house for testing. The header allows us to make usable (not peak power, but very close) power up to 8K rpms, even on a stock motor without cams or headwork.
