Speaking of rotaries I wonder if anyone's tried to give that poor thing a second chance. Thermal coatings? Longer gears? Modified ports? Higher compression rotors?

Didn't Patrick Dempsey race one for a while?

Edit: Did I just answer a question with a question?

GM LS series, 13B-REW, 26B. Sometimes there is a 4 cylinder swap but it's pretty rare.

Even carbon apex seals fail in these things, automatic have tall gearing and still get shitty MPG, it's already got the 6 port, compression is limited to 10-11:1 on Rotary due to design limits. Anymore and it'll impact the housing. As far as I know that particular example is still running with 120k miles on the body, dunno about the engine mileage. Occasionally an original engine shows up out there and it is an '06 so it's possible.

Every RX is a candidate for a swap. Even brand new ones.

Stay away from the sorcerous fairy triangles. When you inadvertently anger the fairies they will seize your motor. Nothing to do with apex seals, people.

Nah. Some are worth keeping the original engine. You must admit, when you see a well-maintained JM1FD it is a special treat.

You need a Initial D Shirt like ASAP

Integrate some Tofu Delivery and a Cup of Water with the FRS and you have your self a winner both to the Initial F Forums and the FRS forums

I'm not familiar with the JM1FD. Which type of demonic pixie spins the triangles in the motor?

Haha you're crazy. The world has enough people ripping off the Initial D thing. Next thing you're gonna suggest a t-shirt with the 86 logo...
